Since most of the ones I could think of have been mentioned, one that sticks out to me is one that Shawn gave Edge in a street fight on Raw in 2005 (I think right after the Rumble, in February or so). I can't find a video of it anywhere (if you have the Edge DVD or Netflix, you can see it) but it's so sudden and Shawn just smacks Edge with it like a baseball bat and he falls out of the ring instantly. Is that where HBK legitimately acted fast to initiate the end of the match when Trips had really badly torn his quad? I think that was a tag match between Rated RKO and DX. I watched the Decade of Decadence set a few weeks back and that's the only thing I can remember, especially with the mention of Edge falling out of the ring from a HBK chair shot.

Rock is holding a chair, a beaten-down Ken Shamrock is kneeling in the centre of the ring. Shamrock gives a "bring it" motion with his hand and dares Rock to hit him with the chair, and Rock obliges. First one that came to mind. Also, Jericho took a disgusting shot from either Jeff or Matt in TLC III.

No, it's just a singles match between Edge and Shawn Michaels in the midst of Edge's early heel work. If you have Netflix, I think it's about 45:20ish on Disk 2 for a quick look.

Has Vince ever pulled off a decent chair shot? I seem to remember every chair shot he's given being laughable. There were a couple in particular that I recall him giving The Rock that looked extremely weak.

It's kinda hard to watch now considering what we know now... I'm not trying to be a prick but I never really understood that line of thinking. Yes we could never have predicted the Benoit incident but this thing that the wrestling business does not do chair shots anymore because we now know its dangerous always made very little sense to me. I remember when I was 14 and 15 and we used to pretend wrestler I used to use those thick magazines to simulate headshots. You know those magazines like the PlayStation magazines you can buy, around that thickness. Well after a few belts to the head of that which never really hurt I started to think to myself that this was really stupid and not at all a healthy activity. Now swap magazines for real chairs and think how stupid it always was. WWE should have limited chair shots years before what happened with Benoit. I'm not saying they should have scraped the spot totally but they should have cut down on the number of times the spot was used. Common sense tells you that chairshots are dangerous! I still think the spot is ok if used sparingly such as at last years Wrestlemania between Taker and Triple H as long as its a light shot and protected by the receiver but only in rare cases even then. I was watching Beyond the Mat again a couple of weeks ago and I must say I'm glad WWE have moved along from some of the stuff they did back then including all the blading that went on.

I was there live for the JBL/Eddie chair shot and that sound resonated throughout the whole arena, sharp and loud. I loved the collective "DAAAYUM!" it brought out of the crowd.

HHH swinging for the fences on Cactus Jack at the 2000 Rumble. Come to think of it, Hunter also gave Foley another really sick shot in 2003, maybe during the Bad Blood cell match.
Also, WrestleMania 22. Shawn Michaels crushes Vince with the chair and it sounds like a rifle blast.

Austin absolutely WAILED Kane in their King of the Ring first blood match after he had been busted open by foley/taker. Jesus.

I loved the way that Shane O'Mac leaped into his chair shots.
Talking of Shane the time he got hit by a chair by The Coach was one of the all time great heel turns.

Surprised nobody has mentioned this but Stone Cold just wailing on Lita with a chair on Raw. NOt to mention the the one Jeff Hardy at that same time took as he was trying to get in the ring.

The one at Wrestlemania 27 is good just for its sheer surprise value.

I'm also going with the JBL/Eddie chair shot. That was vicious!
Another good one, although in ECW, was when Cactus Jack hit 911 with an unfolded chair. Cactus tried to fold it but it took too long so he just hit him with it unfolded; the sound was brutal. The match is on one of Mick Foley's DVDs.

I remember one, just before Survivor Series 2002, where Brock Lesnar absolutely leveled Big Show with one.

Royal Rumble 2000, Cactus Jack is handcuffed and getting beaten by HHH, and then The Rock comes out of nowhere and nails HHH with the chair and frees Foley. Besides it just being really great timing, it was also great camerawork, because you couldn't see The Rock approaching until the second that he made the hit, so it was even more exciting.

Edge hitting Nick Patrick with a chair in 2002, only because I used to think it was hilarious when referees got hurt.

I find it surreal to behold how chairshots to the head have become the pro-wrestling equivalent of lighting-up a cigarette in a child's bedroom.

Royal Rumble 2001 - Chris Benoit attempts to jump through the top and middle ropes to the outside to be caught by Jericho swinging a chair right on the top of the head.
As far as non WWE, at TNA Bound For Glory 2008 there was a sick chair shot that Mick Foley took from Kurt Angle.
