I went to a Smackdown taping once, and about six guys rolled a big box down to the ring in between segments. I forget who was under the ring, but that's how they did it that time. The visual image of this is just hilarious to me. Kane crouched in a box being rolled under the ring sounds like the solution to a Scooby-Doo mystery.

They just rolled the box down to the ring, stopped on the far side of it, acted like they were doing stuff, ring lights went down for a PPV ad on the big tron, and then they rolled the box back up the ramp. I will say, though, that the level of hustle displayed by the WWE stage crew was astonishing.

I remember reading live reports from when Taker and Kane did that switching between the ramps and in the ring bit. Looked cool on TV, live you could just see them casually walk in and out out the ring. Between the slew of guys, it being dark, them blasting stuff on the Tron, who the hell is keeping track of guys who crawled under the ring for some reason and didn't come back out? True. One lesser example was that one Smackdown Brock vs. Angle match that happened before WrestleMania XIX where Kurt and Eric pulled the switcharoo. wasn't this also done against Taker in Godfather's trousers?
