Yes yes yes yes yes! I love Heath Slater. And I think he's the most natural heel in the WWE. I can imagine him as a sort of douchey version of Norman Smiley Hardcore Champion. With his gimmick and his amazing selling skills, I'd pay good money to see people beat the crap out of him and him somehow magically escape at the last moment.
Even so, I'd love it more if they reformed the Rad Bromance and had them revive the tag team division with the power of brohugs and hair ruffles.

I'd hate him so much that I'd be tempted to attend a live show solely for the chance to jump the guardrail and attack Heath Slater for real, so in that sense, I suppose it'd work.

I use to HATE JBL when he was champ, until later in his run I started to get behind him. I just wanted to see someone beat up and shut up JBL. Could work the same way with Slater, not as WWE Champ but start him off small with the midcard belts.

I'm not a fan of Heath Slater and so I don't think I could get behind him as champion. Granted, this is how I feel now. If it ever occurs my opinion may change. There has to be a serious change before I could buy him as champion.

I remember watching MITB and everyone I was watching it with was cheering for Slater because of how amazing the idea of him winning was. "GO SLATER! MAKE YOURSELF FAMOUS!" He would be an amazing WWE champion because... Look at him. Tell me. Can you look into his eyes and not want to punch his face? THAT'S IMPOSSIBLE.

Considering how much the big titles are hot-shotted around, I couldn't get behind this idea.
What would it accomplish other than being random?

If a low-level midcarder gets a belt just to be introduced as a former champ, this is a new low, evem for the Fed
