Hmm. I want to believe that this is true, but I'll stay skeptical until I see some real change with Cole's character.

If there were ever a time for Bleacher Report to come with a legit story...now is the time.

Bleacher Report; didn't read. They quoted Alvarez from the F4W so there's some legitimacy behind this;

As much as I distrust Bleacher Report, I cant help but think when your play by play guy is trashing your World Heavyweight Champion every second he is on TV, you need to make changes. They NEED a JR kind of guy, they NEED to take Cole out the booth and put him as someones manager, and they NEED to get an actual colour analyst like Matt Striker back. If you sit him with a Stanford/Jim Ross type, he has no need to go into overdrive with the kayfabe.
Cole and Lawler destroyed him on PPV because they dismissed everything he said. He excelled with Grisham on SD.

Other than those weeks when he goes on screaming tangents, I don't actually think Cole's all that annoying. And Cole hating Bryan isn't hurting him, it's really the only thing of interest Bryan has about him.

Having the play-by-play announcer declare the WHC a goofball isn't helpful.

Either he needs to turn it down to a two (he's at about eleven, now), or they need to pull him out the booth and make him a manager. Either way, Bleacher Report = don't believe a single word. I'll wait and see.

"As Bryan Alvarez notes in this week's edition of the F4W Newsletter, after the disastrous main event rating of last week's episode of Raw people in WWE management have recently been asking themselves these very same questions about Cole and have since instructed the announcer to tone down his over-bearing character, hence why he has been far more low-key recently:
There was a meeting last week after the rating came in where Michael Cole's commentary was discussed. Based on ratings patterns, fans have little interest in seeing anyone on television aside from the tippy top stars, and consideration was given to it perhaps being the result of Cole burying many of them for the last year straight. Yes, they finally considered this after everyone else had been discussing it for months. At least for this week, he was greatly toned down on commentary, particular his burials of talent."
This is the part people need to pay attention to for those who are like LOLBLEARCHERREPORTNOTGONNAREAD

I think I may start using the phrase "Tippy Top Stars" more often.

And honestly, does it coming from Alvarez make it that much more true?

Wait, are they saying that Bryan is being booked like a coward, or Cole? Because one obviously isn't, and the other logically should be.

How can Michael Cole bury the talent when they're not even on RAW or SmackDown enough for him to bury?

And yes, Alvarez saying that does help to make the story look more credible.
