So the year is just about over. What grade does WWE get for 2011?

D. They still have yet to seriously address their core structural problems and booking issues. It doesn't mattter if they put up a smokescreen like making guys like Punk and Bryan champs, either--it's only temporary and as soon as they lose and the common booking cycles repeat, we're right back to square one. Wrestling still isn't treated as particularly relevant.

A-
One of the best years they've had in ages, could have done with a lack of HHH and Nash, though.

C-
While (I believe) it was one of WWE's best years in recent memory, there still needs alot of fixin to do. They really need to get back in the business of patience and building up hot matches (Cena/Rey comes to mind instantly). Not to mention the ridiculous amount of false advertising they've done this year (And don't get me started on Cole/Twitter, even though it feels like they've been toning it down lately) However, with all those flaws, it was still a fun year. Some great matches (Taker/HHH, Punk/Cena, Christian/Orton Smackdown Elimination Chamber to name a few), a great Summer of Punk, veterans getting their well deserved pushes, WWE finally putting the youth movement to full swing, and the best roster WWE has put together in a while Overall, a good year with some bad flaws that (I believe) will be ironed out by next year. With Wrestlemania shaping up to be good and the launch of the WWE Network, I'm very optimistic in thinking 2012 will be an even better year for the company

B+ Quality of matches have been excellant, there's been some very good storylines and stuff. They miss out on an A though because creative has horribly dropped the ball on a number of occasions. (Punk leaving, the walk out, The Corre etc)

B+ It was definately a great year, but there were a couple things that fell flat that keeps them out of the A range for me. The diva's division was sub-par, the commentary needs work, NXT fell further off the tracks, a couple PPVs were completely forgettable, and a few main event angles didn't go over well (HHH, Nash, Show, Del Rio (debatable), anything Big Show related, the whole Raw GM situation, etc)
Overall though, things were good. Cena, Punk, Miz, Truth, Rock, Ryder, Henry, Bryan, Ziggler, Rhodes, etc (add in your favorite) were all very compelling characters this year. There was plenty to be excited about. There were quite a few good matches and shows this year. Tough Enough was also fun to watch.
I'll remember this year as the one CM Punk became a mega-star, I think.

B+
Lots of great stuff. The rises of Punk and Ryder, some good wrestling, The Rock, Cena's current storyline, etc. The only major thing I didn't like was that HHH as the boss angle. That pissed me off.
Another important thing the WWE needs to be recognized for from this year is becoming self aware and figuring out how to work the "smart" fans. It seems like they really listen and are actually aware of the fans wants, as evidenced by the Johnny Ace character, Ryder's push, and the increase of content on WWE.com
Also, kudos for figuring out how to legit piss off the "smart" fans with the Michael Cole character. They finally figured out how to create a character despised by the average fan and the internet fans who throw out every smarky reason possible for why they hate him, when its really the same reaction that the average fans have. Hopefully they start doing something similar with all their top heels, like how Jericho has been trolling his Twitter followers to similar results.

B+. Great year with quite a few new stars being made and what seems like a plan in place for Wrestlemania this year.
Some really goofy s***(Del Rio's booking, Mania, Christian's 2 DAY TITLE REIGN(For f**** sake, WWE), the convoluted "Walkout" storyline, Cole/Lawler, and Cole/JR) keeps it from being an A.

A-. Would've been an A+ but Michael Cole knocked it down a few. Other than him, this was the best year of WWE programming in quite some time.

B-. For the most part I've enjoyed this year in WWE, moreso than I have for a while. Mark Henry's push has been excellent, CM Punk has had an excellent year, and it finally seems that WWE are planting the seeds to make the superstars of the future, specifically in Dolph Ziggler and Cody Rhodes. Not to mention the increasingly high levels of match quality. The upcoming WWE Network has also been secured this year so it seems like next year might be a very different experience for a WWE fan. Poor booking this year is the thing that stops this year getting a higher grade. Punk's promo and subsequent angle should been a game-changer, yet here we are a few months later as if nothing has happened. Same goes for the walkout angle. Another problem is that some rivalries have gone on far too long for my liking. Barrett & Orton, Orton & Christian, Lawler & Cole, Big Show & Mark Henry, Big Show & Orton, Del Rio & Cena, I just couldn't keep my enthuiasm up for any of these feuds.
Overall, A good year with a few flaws- the good points outweigh the bad.

A-minus for me i mean we got Punk and Bryan as the two champions, Zack Ryder as us and cody as ic champion I enjoy Air Boom we got to see Cody and Dolph constantly improve and steal the show, there has been some great matches and amazing moments i would have never thought I would see mark henry as champion and actually like enjoy his run, the only complaints I have were bringing Kevin nash and beth as champion

B. 2011 was the year I got back into wrestling and was a lot of fun because of some the most compelling angles they have done in recent years (Summer of Punk pre-Nash, The Bryan/Henry/Show tension, Kharma and, hell, even the Kane stuff in the last three weeks was fun), of some the best matches they have put on (almost any Orton/Christian match, Punk/Cena, even Eve/Phoenix at Vengeance was fun) and because of the youth movement towards the end of the year but anything Michael Cole was poison and, for the most part, October was terrible, excluding NXT which managed to make me watch every week.
Overall: A lot of highs and some very deep lows but the fact that NXT went from bad and stupid to fun and stupid was enough to make me bump it from a B- to a B.
