D. They still have yet to seriously address their core structural problems and booking issues. It doesn't mattter if they put up a smokescreen like making guys like Punk and Bryan champs, either--it's only temporary and as soon as they lose and the common booking cycles repeat, we're right back to square one. Wrestling still isn't treated as particularly relevant. I would give it a C+ but otherwise, this is basically my thoughts as well.

I'm between C- & C. The product at time has been dull from a creative stand point ( though you can blame some of this on Edge leaving and thus the fueds he would have carried went down the drain.) also some bad booking decesions (the way Bryan cashed the MITB, a 2day title run for Christan.) the tag and women's divisions are jokes and not funny ones either.
on the plus side we've seen some new talent start to get a push (i not a ryder fan but hey he got there, I am excited about Cody Rhodes, And How can I not bring up D-Bry winning MITB & the WHC) I prefered HHH to the computer GM ( my hopes for the angle died with the passing of Randy Savage.) and at least they haven't quite gone to TNA bad levels. (thought some times it was a close call)
All in all this is one of the worst years I've seen in the WWE but it did have it's moments, a lot of it's problems didn't start until after sumerslam, and it looks like they'll be shaping up for Mania so I look forward to that.

I'll go ahead and give it a C, with a positive and negatives list...
Positives: -Money in the Bank PPV -R Truth as a heel -Summer of Punk (from Capitol Punishment to Money in the Bank at least) -Cena, Rey and Orton becoming more beatable to some extent -Mark Henry's run from Capitol Punishment to Vengeance -Everything Cody Rhodes -Dolph Ziggler emerging into an absolute must watch superstar every time he is on screen -The WWE taking Zack Ryder's fans seriously and using his overness to develop a great Ziggler/Ryder feud -The beginning of Sheamus' face run -Christian's win at Extreme Rules -Kane's return -Randy Orton becoming so good in the ring -Johnny Ace on television/David Otunga as the assistant/attorney -Ending the year with a great group of champions
Negatives: -Completely screwing up the womens division when Kharma and McCool went out -The total waste that was the tag division until Air Boom won it, and then letting it die down again once Evan Bourne was wellness'd -Michael Cole in general -Jerry Lawler in general -Letting Triple H insert himself into the Summer of Punk and completely destroy it -The multiple times they ruined Alberto Del Rio -The horrific booking of Mark Henry following Vengeance, just to make Big Show once again look strong for no apparent reason -The bad use of guys used well or at least used in 2010 for much of the year or all of the year (Wade Barrett, Daniel Bryan, Justin Gabriel, Drew McIntyre, Tyson Kidd) -Ezekiel Jackson's IC title reign -The New Nexus/The Corre (at least post Rumble, they looked very good pre Rumble) -Christian's short ass title reign, capped off with his lame ass heel turn/heel run -Not making William Regal a commentator on one of the main shows, especially with most people knowing he's the best -The Rock/Cena feud ruining a Wrestlemania main event, being responsible for the worst Raw in eons, and the neverending lame off jokes they seem to throw at each other (there are positives but blah) -The stupid, stupid, stupid walkout angle -The burial of John Morrison -Kevin Nash promos -Whatever the Jinder Mahal/Khali feud was, and Jinder Mahal in general -Michael Cole again -Not developing the midcard enough outside of a select few (Ziggler, Ryder, Rhodes) and again trying with DiBiase instead of someone like Gabriel

B+. Would be higher if not for Michael Cole's misuse (honestly, he's a great heel, but he has no foil and thus becomes a nuisance) and the glaring weaknesses in the Divas division, which I don't even entirely blame on Kharma's departure.
Outside of that, they're working on a lot of their core problems- new blood at the top of the card, evolution of various characters, and we finally have a watermark tag team again.

They are improving on certain areas, but need massive improvement in others.

A-
It was hands down the most unpredictable year in I don't know how long. There were actually many times where I was excited to see what would happen the following week, as opposed to just tuning in because I like wrestling. Of course, there were some mishaps. There really aren't many A+ years.
Kudos to WWE. I hope 2012 continues to improve.

Wrestling still isn't treated as particularly relevant. I'll second this. They've had a lot of really great matches and segments this year, in comparison to recent years they've definitely been improving. I'm at a point for the first time in my fandom where I can miss a show and not feel any remorse, and that's not necessarily a critique of this year in particular because there have definitely been worse, but more on my frustration of watching these shows hampered by the same problems going unaddressed for so long that this year was the year it just became too much to bare. The highs just haven't been worth all the lows. The lack of confidence in nearly every move they make and constant need to rush everything is just killing me.

D. Not the worst year ever or anything, but in all honesty I've lost a ton of interest in the product over the course of the year.

A-, based soley on the fact that CM Punk is getting a Superman push. If not for that, it'd be a C. They spent too much time pushing guys who suck in the ring (Miz), aren't over (Del Rio), or both (Ezekiel Jackson).

D-. What I've wanted to say has already been said and has been said for years, so a D is what they'd usually get.
However, the minus is where you've had your main commentator tell you how various parts of the product suck with it all capped off by having a veteran of the company and future Hall Of Fame inductee call most of your roster crap and insignificant.

B.......they took some Big Steps this year, and look to do more next year. This could be the beginning of a new great era, or a return to status quo in 2012.
I hope not, though.....I see a lot of big things for guys like Wade Barrett, Cody Rhodes, and Dolph Ziggler.....WWE needs some strong heels, and I think any one of these guys could fill those spots nicely.

B because of 3 reasons:
1. The Rocks Birthday 2. Kevin Nash 3. Triple H. I have no problem with the COO thing, but did he really have to get involved in the CM Punk vs John Cena feud? I mean did anyone say "This feud is awesome, but we MUST have Triple H in this!!!" ?

Sure, Bryan & Punk on top is fun, but it probably won't last, and the booking has been all over the place, to the point it detracts from the little things they manage to get right.

B-
Good in-ring wrestling. Lots of Holy Crap moments (Christian, Punk, Henry). R-Truth ruled. Rock came back.
On the flip side, it's still the same ol' generic product that bores me to tears sometimes (or even makes me lower my head in shame). It's not the talent...it's the format/writing.
This year was as good as it can get in today's WWE. Not a compliment exactly.

Around the time of MITB is was 2000-2001 grades of awesome. Post MITB it's just been ok, pre-MITB is was horrible.
B- for effort and making Punk a star.

B - Was good.
Return of Rock, MiTB, Ryder, Punk in general actually.
If there was less Cole, title hotshotting back to Cena just to get him to 10(?) title reigns...then it would have easily touched an A-

I'd give it a B+.
Positives
- Great matches - Orton taking his game to a whole new level - The pairing of Awesome Truth - Truth turning heel - Punk vs Cena - Orton vs Christian - D-Bry and Ryder being champions - Dolph Ziggler and Cody Rhodes being primed to be consistent main eventers - Otunga from teaming up with McGillicutty to now, has been on a role - Making Drew look f***ing awesome for a little bit - The 2nd half of the year for Wade - Johnny Ace
Negatives
- ADR being inserted into Punk vs Cena - Trips and Nash being inserted into Punk vs Cena could have been decent, but they never continued the conspiracy storyline which involved Awesome Truth - The walkout - Awesome Truth, the cause of the walkout, losing at Vengeance and Survivor Series - Truth's wellness violation halted his momentum and put an end to Awesome Truth (that's all on Truth though) - Cole vs Lawler - Drew getting screwed over after Elimination Chamber
