Totally! In fact, Haku is the last ever surprise jump from WCW to WWE (or vice versa). He had won the WCW Hardcore Title on WCW's PPV just the week before the Rumble too.

Almost put Edge in at my #5 but him winning kinda ruined things for me. Same with Cena.
Does anyone have more info on the RVD return? I'm starting to think I imagined him in the RR now...

No love for Edge's surprise return (and win) as #29 in the 2010 Rumble? That one wasn't surprising to me at all. Even though I didn't predict Edge to be in the Rumble, I remember his return date being set at around January and as the Rumble went on, it got pretty obvious to me at least that Edge would be in it based on who had come out and what not.

Big Show at the 2001 Rumble came out of nowhere and was pretty damn surprising.

Considering it's the only Rumble I've seen live, I would say RVD in 2006 (It was his return from injury).

I wasn't even aware he was in the Rumble match. I recall seeing him on an episode of Jakked/Metal around that time and thought to myself, "Isn't he still the WCW Hardcore champion?" That was pretty cool. Plus he rocked the huge hair, that was a plus.

As a guys who was a huge RVD fan during his WWE run, his one night return in 2009 was a lot of fun.
That said, Cena's return was insane. In this day and age, you don't often see things in pro wrestling that people don't find out about beforehand. Nobody knew Cena was coming back, and the pop his return got was incredible. One of the greatest moments in Royal Rumble history, for sure.

Diesel last year. Him returning wasn't so much surprising as it was him returning as Diesel and still getting that MONSTER pop.

Diesel. I probably should've expected it, but that took me by surprise.
Cena in '08 is up there, but that Rumble annoyed me really. You had Hornswoggle, Foley, Piper and Snuka in there too, seemingly solely to pop the crowd and not last very long. The thing is the Cena return was such a huge moment that they really weren't necessary. It would've been nice for some midcard guys to have got into the Rumble really - Moore, Yang, Cade and Murdoch or something.

Well Godfather, Goldust, Val Venis, and Perfect where not surpises. They where all anounced before hand.
Booker T and Kevin Nash. Most knew they where going to be in there. The big surpised was Nash coming out as Diesel and the reaction was huge.
Haku was a shocker because he was a WCW title holder. But WCW was stupid to have him as champion without a contract but on paid per appearnce. I recall reading after it.
Cena was a big surpise. What about Foley in 04?

No love for Edge's surprise return (and win) as #29 in the 2010 Rumble? No, because that was in no way a surprise to anyone, and I avoided the internet spoilers. We were gambling on the Rumble and all of us agreed that Edge would either win it or be number 30, but not both. We were right.
