Jesse was also Governor too. Not when he came back in 2009 to promote that crappy Conspiracy Theory show, he wasn't. He still had name recognition in the mainstream, and was promoting a new show. Daffney doesn't. And I'm a much bigger fan of daffney.

But I can think of reasons not to as well: her age, injury history, the overcrowded divas roster, and her lawsuit against TNA probably makes her look like a risk. Her psycho goth character would stick out, but would also be a nice change. And she has shown she can play other characters. Sadly I doubt it will ever happen, though lord knows I wish it would. I hope I am not alone. Jesse Ventura successfully sued Vince for $800k in 1994 (and Ventura was working for WCW at the time), yet Vince has brought Ventura back several times to promote stuff - suing TNA wouldn't be a reason for Vince not to sign her. Hell, Sable sued Vince for $110 million and was still rehired.

I doubt Vince would "get" her. He has a very rigid definition of "sexy" and she likely wouldn't fit it.

Ya, way too late for her now but it is surprising she never got a run in the WWE....Yes, the Wwe likes the plastic barbie doll look but they also pushed Lita and Luna...I can see the WWE pushing Daffney in the right role. I wonder if maybe she just never wanted that schedule.

Luna was a monster heel in a different time--and they didn't really want to push Lita--she got over and sold merch and they pushed her as a result because she = $$. I never understood why they released Ariel. Hot. Goth. Unique. Vampire Gimmick. Why?

I just see it as another person the WWE missed the boat on for whatever reasons.

One thing I've learned is if you've got some sort of goth character on mainstream wrestling television, you're gonna be doing some serious business no nonsense good old fashioned all american jobbing, BIG TIME =P

I just see it as another person the WWE missed the boat on for whatever reasons. They hardly missed the boat on Daffney. Realistically, she wouldn't have drawn a dime for the company. I know she has an online fanbase, but in reality, her mainstream appeal is limited, at best.

I am not trying to demean women's wrestling, but realistically, they have had a negligible impact on whether or not someone buys a ticket for a long time now, I'd imagine.

If WWE hires any female wrestler over 35 it will be to train the FCW divas.
Only ones who have a chance are women who have already been in the company coming back for a return (Trish, Lita, Victoria), or those who are already established (Vickie).

I just see it as another person the WWE missed the boat on for whatever reasons. Your sig photo gives me one HUGE reason why Vince might want to rethink his Barbie preference in his hiring practices. Daffney with a "Girl with a Dragon Tattoo" gimmick could establish Laurinaitis's heel persona in a darker and more sinister tone, while getting her over as an avenging angel. It wouldn't be the first time Vince hit up popular culture for ideas (Edge began as a ripoff of Blade), and he couldn't argue against a franchise selling 53 million books and two film adaptations. Unless he seriously thought about dousing Edge with glitter makeup.
