The more I think about the Governor, the more brilliant I think his character is. When he was introduced, whether you read the comics or not you knew this guy was the Big Bad. And we all had preconceptions about what his character was, and when we didn't see them, we were disappointed. He showed sociopathic tendencies, like the Wall O'Heads, and the cold-blooded murder of the military group, and his putting a hit on Michonne, but he also showed a lot of sympathetic and redeeming qualities, I.E. his daughter's death and keeping her locked up, him desperately wanting Milton's theory to be true, all of that good stuff.
So even though we knew he was the bad guy, he was introduced as a wild card. But now we actually get to SEE the heel turn. The genuine concern for his daughter's well being, and the subsequent rage when Michonne put her down, sentencing Merle to death (even though he probably lives) for lying about Michonne.
Honestly, I love that he wasn't established as a bad guy just by doing bad guy things (going through with the Maggie rape would've done this) and we weren't just told "The Governor is a bad guy because he did X", but we actually get to see the jump between broken man with good intentions and revenge-driven megalomaniacal sociopath.
TL;DR: I loved the slow-burn before they flipped the villainy switch.

Yeah, The Governor is about to ramp up the evil. He doesn't have his connection to sanity anymore, so he has no reason to be subtle.

Just realized thisi s the first time you see Daryl and Meryl on screen at the same time. Even during Daryl's hallucination, you don't see both of them on screen at the same time.

The B&W version starts on February 14th with the first two episodes, then one every Thursday at 8. Mostly this is being done as a pseudo-promotion for their two new reality series premiering on the same night.

Good. I hate Glenn Mazzara. He always gives the most vague interview answers and hates doing flashback scenes.
