And the fun just carries on. Ron Higgins of the Commercial Appeal and SECsports.com reports that Tennessee has gone back to Mike Gundy with "more zeros" and he would put his money on Gundy being the next Tennessee head coach due to the offer and the fact that Gundy is very unhappy with some aspects of Oklahoma State. Oh hell no. Gundy don't go to f***ing Tennessee! That's an even worse job than Arky would've been. The only real benefit you'd gain is more money, Gundy. Coaching one of the currently weakest teams in the SEC is not worth that extra money. Hey, he could do a lot worse than Tennessee *coughAUBURNcough*.

Butch Jones turns down the Colorado Job Johnny Football turns 20 today these are directly connected. Jones was all ready to go to Colorado... then Wisconsin opened up AND Gundy/Strong/Fedora all turned down the Vols so Jones decided to see if he'd get a look for them.

Man Tennessee is coming across as just clueless and desperate.
Unrelated, I don't know where/when the whole 'Arky' semi-insult started and who with,, but as a fan and denizen of Arkansas it's always gotten on my nerves. Just condescending bullshit.

I meant no offense. I honestly thought "Arky" was just a normal nickname for Arkansas.

Yeah, same here. I saw it done in here and have copied for brevity as i have to type my posts on an android instead of a keyboard. No offense meant. I have always liked and respected the hogs. Hell I like the state too. It's beautiful in the Ozarks. I was trying to get stationed in Little Rock.

I use Arkie but never thought of it as derogatory, same as using Wiscy for Wisconsin.
Was surprised about Jones potentially going to Tenn. Would've been a good hire for CU. For Tenn he'd be a better hire than Dooley but rather underwhelming. Read elsewhere that boosters are pushing for them to make a run at Kirby Smart.

Taio (sp), has now won six major awards. Beginning to think Johnny football may just take the Hiesman.

I really hope Johnny Football wins it. There still some old fogies who won't vote for him, period, (as in even put him on their ballot) because of his freshman status. But his body of work is amazing.
Though it was hilarious hearing all the obvious Notre Dame fans call up sports radio shows trying to jump through hoops to explain why Manziel shouldn't win. All of their reasons were laughably bad and had logic holes you could drive a semi through. I really like the way Manti Teo plays, but he's not good enough to win the Heisman over Manziel. Not even close. There have been far better defensive players that deserved to win over Teo over the years and didn't.
