Guess I was wrong when I said a freshman would never win it. Still don't agree with it, but I was wrong about it.

He definitely deserved it. Texas A&M will be a force next season.

No shock there. He's had a hell of a season and he's only a freshman.

Before the season, everyone was singing Missouri's praises going into the SEC. A&M was seen as an afterthought.
A&M did everything Mizzou was supposed to do.

Well how quickly until ESPN starts asking if he can join Archie Griffin?

Well how quickly until ESPN starts asking if he can join Archie Griffin? Screw that. Here's a better question. Can he become the first person to 3-peat as the Heisman Trophy Winner?

Dude goes to a religious university, his first name is Manti, and no one marketed him as Praying Manti's. I thought the "He is Manti" campaign was clever, but Praying Manti would have been a lot more fun.

Meh, don't really think Johnny should've won, really. He had only one actual signature win this year.
His stats were inflated against vastly weaker foes.
Basically he won this Heisman solely because he beat Alabama. That's it really.

He also shattered of all of Cam Newton's records.

You take away his win over Alabama and his resume is no stronger than any of those previous QBs to put up insanely gaudy numbers but failed to win the Heisman. Beating Bama is why he won. Basically, let me put it like this, if he didn't beat Bama would he still have won the Heisman?

They both have really good defenses and he broke them on quite a few plays in both games.

Losing hurts the resume of Heisman candidates more times than it helps them, regardless of their stats in said losses. Also, never said LSU and Florida were lesser foes, everyone else they played(outside of Bama, of course), however, were lesser foes. He's only beaten one really good team this year. He couldn't get it done, numbers be damned, against LSU and Florida.

He also shattered of all of Cam Newton's records. Not that great, actually. He had no TD's against Florida. His Pass % was good and he ran for quite a bit, but it wasn't a stellar performance. Against LSU he was dismal, 51% completion, 0 TD's, 3 INT's. Yeah, he gained yards, but it's not really any good if you're throwing it away several times. His stats were definitely boosted by bad opponents. But to be fair to him, aside from Louisiana Tech, they were mostly SEC teams. One of the big reasons why I think season stats shouldn't be as important as big game stats when looking at these things.
