How many nominations did Ke$ha get? That's all I'm interested in knowing. ZERO. Warrior was released too late to be counted in the coming Grammy Awards.

I've never understood what the difference between Record of the Year and Song of the Year is. Call Me Maybe being nominated for a Grammy is a disgrace. Record = Award for the artist Song= Award for the Songwriter Wait, so Call Me Maybe is nominated because of the songwriting? That makes it even worse. The lyrics to that song sound like something a fourteen year old girl would write, plus it took three people to write it. The bar is being set pretty low for songwriting these days, apparently.

I was there-pretty neat experience, but none of the music or nominees impressed me at all

Really stoked that two people I've personally known for eight years got nominated. Elle Varner (who actually lived in the same dorm as Donald and me) and Hot Sugar (who produced on the Roots album Undun) getting nods is pretty darn cool. I'm also psyched that I can now say my song "Bad Dogs Go to the Pound" is from a Grammy-Nominated producer (Spotify it).
While I'm not a fan of all the rap/hip-hop nominees , the only one I really take issue with is that horrid Lupe Fiasco album. If that's in your top 5 rap albums of the year, you didn't hear more than 5 rap albums this year. Still, nothing's as bad as that Mos Def song that got nominated in 2006 before it had even been released yet. (Yes, that happened).
And "Call Me Maybe" is a fantastic pop song. Yes, it captures the energy of a flirty 14-year-old girl having her first crush, but that's exactly the beauty of it. It's really well done.
Also psyched about the Frank Ocean nominations. Wolf gang.

So how much outrage should be expected from twitter when Bieber doesn't get nominated for album/record/song of the year? There was a lot of rage. Most of it was directed towards PSY for getting a nomination. And from what I have gathered, he didn't even get that nomination that beliebers are raging about.

Let's look on the bright side; even in a down year, the Grammies resisted the urge to nominate One Direction for anything.

Easily the worst list of nominees I've seen in a long time.
