Yes, it's our fault the storyline is boring. Well, I thought we wanted long-term storylines. I thought we all wanted things where we didn't know who was involved or what was happening. Where's the big main eventer that's going to join them that I keep hearing about? When's Garrett or whoever going to turn that I keep hearing about on other forums. I'm accepting that I have no idea what's happening and I'm letting it tell the story. Just because WE don't know what's happening on the Internet doesn't mean TNA doesn't have a plan.

This. IWC: We want TNA to do story lines with year long hype so that wrestling matches and shows mean something again! TNA does a long story line IWC: THIS STORY LINE IS BORING WHY SHOULD WE CARE?! IT'S GONE ON TOO LONG REVEAL THEM ALL NOW Not to single you out personally, but I really hate posts like these that insiuate all the hundreds of members here are a singular hive mind that we think exactly the same thing like we're the Borg or something.

The problem is there's no direction in sight, and TNA have burned a lot of us before many, many times. All we've been given so far in this story is that the Dudley Boy that isn't Bubba is a member...yay? I'm all for optimism but you've always got to be cautious with TNA. When have they ever had a truly good payoff to something?

I'm not even asking for optimism. I'm asking for consistency.
I'm simply saying let it play out before we declare it to be yet another TNA disaster. As everyone is saying, nothing has happened yet.

Nothing happening yet is the problem. This thing has been going on for a long, long time and has had very few developments with no end in sight. It seems like week in and week out, it's the same thing. I can't count how many show-ending brawls they've done. They're spinning their wheels in epic fashion. They're not biding time. They're wasting it. Why let it play out when it's already a disaster? Yeah, it may wind up being good, but nothing I've seen from TNA leads me to believe that will be the case. And honestly, why should we wait and see? They've screwed up almost every major storyline in the company's history. I don't expect this one to be any different.

A big part of storytelling is pacing. Too fast or too slow is bad.

Actually since it's TNA there's a very good chance they don't have a plan.

In regards to wanting storylines that last awhile, most people want that. But, the problem with Aces and 8s is their is a lack of progression and it seems to be the same every week. It's like, well, we want it to last till say, Bound for Glory. So in order to do that, we can't do too much in a certain amount of time.
So, instead of slowly progressing the story, they just stop and do the same thing for awhile, then there's one bit of progression, then we stop again.

TNA does a long story line IWC: THIS STORY LINE IS BORING WHY SHOULD WE CARE?! IT'S GONE ON TOO LONG REVEAL THEM ALL NOW The appeal in the group is who is with them and who is joining next. People are going to tune in to see if a member is revealed that week. It's SMART booking. Does anyone actually like this story line? It is CLEARLY done because Hogan/Bishoff LOVE the idea of motorcycle, and motorcycle gangs. No one, under the age of 60 thinks this is cool. Remember Hog Wild? Yes you are 100% correct. Hulk and Bischoff said to each other "Lets run a story line that we think sucks just because it has something to do with Motorcycles" Hulk Hogan likes all sorts of s*** I assume. Why isn't that incorporated into TNA if they just want to put their hobbies on TV? As for the Hog Wild comment, someone read The Death of WCW book where they outright lie and say Bischoff only did Road Wild because he was a motorcycle guy. They did Road Wild because the spectacle of it all was really cool and because of the tons and tons of free publicity they got with being involved with Strugis Biker Rally. That does not dis-credit my point. They both think it's cool, and wanted to run a story line around it. it's not suppose to suck (in their minds). Most peoples complaints about TNA has nothing to do with length of story lines, but the quality of them, and this story line sucks.

Remember Hog Wild? Second hottest show on TV. As the crap argument about people wanting longer storylines but now bitching about getting one, part of telling a story is providing details and advancing it. In 6 months we've gotten to know 2 members of a multiperson gang and one of them only joined after leaving the company so he wasn't even a part of the original group. We still don't know why they are here, how they were getting in prior to BFG, how all those people working for them in TNA came to be, or anything of substance. Not doing anything is just as bad as blowing your load too soon.

Not to sound like a parrot... But it's not the length, it's the entertainment value. I thought the best idea would've been to reveal them all at BFG. This is just boring to watch.

There's a difference between a slowly building but awesome storyline and a slowly building story that has barely progressed in seven months and is boring as sin.

I'm pretty sure they're going to pad it out for the rest of the month, then whoever's debuting or re-debuting or whatever on the 3rd will end up feuding with them or something. Then we might be able to get some progression out of it.

There's a huge difference between long term booking/storylines and storylines/angles that drag on too long. A&8's are dragging.

As I've said before this is Joseph Park's storyline, I wouldn't be surprised if Aces and Eights become hella overbearing between now and his re-debut because he is coming back with a vengeance and taking them all down. Hogan and Bischoff are high on Chris Park and see him as a potential megastar, taking down Aces and Eights will be his moment.

Honestly, I think the Devon reveal took a lot of the steam away from the angle. If they went the predictable route and just had Bully turn on Sting/Hogan, then things may have progressed better, but TNA shot themselves in the foot by starting the angle out so hot that outside of acquiring a really big name, they were going to disappointment with the reveal regardless of who it was.
I don't have a real issue with the storyline, just that they should have revealed more members by now, even if they are "WWE rejects" like Gallows/D.O.C. Masked wrestlers with no names or characters are not going to get over. D.O.C. will get over because he has a name (as corny as it is) and a face to go with it. They really need to unmask more guys.

Or let him try and do that, they kidnap him and torture him breaking him mentally causing his Abyss side to come out leading to his return on the bloody road to hell
