Being reported that the shooter in CT was wearing an "all black military outfit". That said, do the Shield change outfits like Edge did (by dropping the trenchcoat) after the Colombine shooting?

Hadn't heard that yet, but maybe. I've been wondering if they would wrestle in the vests, or actual gear.
Honestly though, it would seem reactionary to change because of one f***ing coward. This coming from a person who thinks the aforementioned coward got off way too easy the way everything ended for him. I'll leave it that though...

Of course not. And neither do people in movies or other forms of entertainment. The various law enforcement officers were dressed similarly.

Probably.
Besides, when it's time for them to finally wrestle is a good enough time to change their look I would think. Gives them individuality.

I think they were bound to drop the gear anyway, simply because that isn't practical wrestling gear nowadays; I know Boss Man did, but how many have since? Also, as much flack as we give WWE, they aren't that reactionary. They didn't outright ban trenchcoats after Columbine (see Edge throughout his career, Trish, Miz, and other). Even after Benoit, something that affected WWE directly, wrestlers are still allowed to use his signature moves like the Crossface and the diving headbutt.

Maybe they lose the combat vests and wrestle in their slacks and shirts (and a tanktop in the case of Roman Reigns)?

I can't remember what Edge was doing in the WWF at the time, but I know that Columbine derailed the Berlyn gimmick in WCW... I hope they do drop the outfits, for whatever reason. Ambrose and Rollins especially look really awkward in them, like they are playing dress-up.

JTG wrestled in a bulletproof vest sometimes, I think.

Didn't help that the dangerous, calculating Neo Nazi would win his matches with fluke roll-ups.

I'd prefer to see them in their regular trunks sooner rather than later. Rollins especially has some awesome looking attires.

Yeah I hope he gets to keep them and they dont switch him to generic stuff. He has a unique look, use it to advantage, especially in a time where a lot of guys look real similar attire wise.

I hope they each wear their own wrestling gear for the PPV instead of the Bossman suits, that's what I thought this thread would be about. I don't see them changing attires for this reason though.

I see them wearing their own gear when they actually wrestle maybe with a new Shield insignia but their actual "outside" gear? They'll keep it.

It'd be a good idea.
I agree with it not really being necessary per se, but eh, might as well.
