"John Cena's year Crappy feud with Kane where they drew one match and he one another
Lost to The Rock
Got the crap kicked out of him by Brock Lesnar
Lost to John Laurinaitis
Crappy feud with Big Show where he won a cage match
Wins Money In The Bank
Loses Money In The Bank cash in
Loses triple threat at Summerslam
Draws with CM Punk at Night of Champions
Does nothing at Hell In A Cell
Crappy affair story with AJ
Loses triple threat at Survivor Series
Loses at TLC
Fixed result or not, how in the hell can Cena winning this award be justified?"

Yeah, really? The other three nominees had far, far more impressive years.

3MB have probably had a more successful year than Cena.

It's probably John Cena's worst year ever.

Most people will treat polls like this as a popularity contest and vote for their favorites regardless of the kayfabe year they've had.
John Cena – 3.2 million Twitter followers, 14 million Facebook fans CM Punk – 1.4 million Twitter followers, 1.5 million Facebook fans Sheamus – 360k Twitter followers, 950k Facebook fans Big Show – 680k Twitter followers, 1.4 million Facebook fans
If it was a legitimate poll and even 0.5% of each guys fans voted then Cena would probably have gotten more than the other three combined.
Hell, Rock has wrestled a grand total of one match this year and he'd have won this poll if he was nominated simply because he's the only wrestler in the world more popular than Cena right now.

i would have gone with Punk for the whole soon to be 400 day title run. Sheamus a good ways back in second, then Show then Cena. on the other hand i figured cena would win once i saw his name on the "ballot"

How is Rock winning an injustice, and how did Bryan get robbed? "Anger Management" had the same chances as Rock's segment. Hell, it had even more of a chance considering that Bryan and Kane were on the show and Rock wasn't. I thought we were supposed to be all about respecting people's opinions (well you guys, anyway, not me) and all that. Most people will treat polls like this as a popularity contest and vote for their favorites regardless of the kayfabe year they've had. John Cena – 3.2 million Twitter followers, 14 million Facebook fans CM Punk – 1.4 million Twitter followers, 1.5 million Facebook fans Sheamus – 360k Twitter followers, 950k Facebook fans Big Show – 680k Twitter followers, 1.4 million Facebook fans If it was a legitimate poll and even 0.5% of each guys fans voted then Cena would probably have gotten more than the other three combined. Saying it isn't a popularity contest and show that the man who won is the most popular one out of the group. Come on man. He's saying that is a popularity contest, which is why Cena won the award regardless of his year in kayfabe. Because he's more popular than Punk, Sheamus, and Show. When you give the power of a contest like this to everyone with access to the Internet, then of course it'll turn into a popularity contest.

it's a popularity contest so of course Cena was going to probably win. even if they DID fudge the results to further an angle I don't mind because that segment was great all around.

I really don't think any objective person could make a case for anyone other than Punk winning. He's had the belt for the entire year!
We pretty much have to accept that like the Pro Bowl and the NBA All-Star game, it's all about the fans.

It seems like a no brainer..

The fact that Bryan wasn't even a nominee pisses me. I was more upset about that. Problem is with fan voting the faces will always win. Instead of, you know, the right outcome winning.
