What if it lead to Punk vs. HBK at Wrestlemania 30? I still hope not. I love Flair. He's my favourite wrestler of all time. And I actually really enjoyed his match with Lethal a while back, but PLEASE don't let him wrestle. On screen role as a manager/gm/something where he just talks? Sure Wrestle? No thank you.

Wrestlemania NEEDS Flair. More importantly, this gives Punk a chance to have his Wrestlemania moment by beating the legendary Ric Flair. I'd think people would be all for this, considering he'd undoubtedly put Punk over.

In what way does Mania need Flair?
Serious question, in 2012 what does he bring to the table beyond nostalgia?

I'd think people would be all for this, considering he'd undoubtedly put Punk over. Why does WrestleMania need Flair? The guy's broken down, barely coherent and doesn't offer anything of worth besides his name - a name that he's spent the last couple of years doing his very best to turn into a punchline. CM Punk beating Ric Flair in 2012 isn't even a Monday Night Raw main event moment. At best it'd be the same level as Jericho wiping the floor with Snuka, Piper and Steamboat, and a waste of a WrestleMania spot.

Let Flair's career consist of a Legends contract already. The one fun thing about WWE is that TNA doesn't exist. This is the first time Flair has appeared since his farewell Raw.

No way I see this happening, but I bet it would be a pretty good match.

I wouldn't mind seeing that match at Elimination Chamber, not WM though.

Adding Flair to Mania would be a major dose of nostalgia and give another big name to work with. Who's spot would he really be taking...Ryder? Tyson Kidd? Epico and Primo? Santino? Tensai?
None of 'em are worth what Flair is. Even broken down like he is now, the guy's still gold.

The only way Ric Flair will pop a buy rate in 2013 is if WWE advertises the match as 'the one Ric might die during - you wouldn't want to miss that, would you?!'
I wouldn't put that past Vince.

By all means put him in a skit or something for the nostalgia pop, but each and every one of the guys you mentioned are worth far more in the ring than a man whose repertoire now consists of: 1. Chop 2. "Wooo!" 3. Flair flop 4. Being thrown from the top turnbuckle 5. Figure Four Even though it would never happen, I'd rather see Punk vs. Kidd with a six-week buildup, leading to a show-stealing match at 'Mania, than Flair vs. anybody.

You know...Dynamite Kid is still alive. They should cart him out and have him put over Punk as well. He's a legend...legends need to wrestle no matter how old or broken down they are.
One more match. One more match. Gooble-gobble, gooble-gobble!
We must....be entertained by...the 60 year old man...fighting someone nearly half his age!! RESPECT!

I think this is pointless because I really, really doubt Flair can pass the physical.

an out of shape womanizer taking on one of the greatest champions ever? I don't care how great a champion Flair was, I don't ever want to see him wrestle again.

No. Even though he has wrestled since his last WWE match, WWE should still honor their stipulation. It will make the match with Shawn mean a lot more if it is truly his last WWE match. It would have been even more historic if Flair had not continued to wrestle at all. Too late for that.
Also, I'm sure this has been brought up, but after the Jerry Lawler heart attack, WWE should be much more sensitive about letting guys their age in the ring.

Oh boy. Older than dirt Flair who's lost to everyone at this point putting Punk over? Just the thing Punk needed to be a star.
Or not.

My five points outline literally all Flair has left in the tank, while your five points merely describe the format of Cena's matches, not what he is capable of doing in the ring.

Like that would really stop the WWE from doing it.
