When I was a kid my favorites were Ultimate Warrior, British Bulldog, and Sting. I think Ryback is most similar for the first two. Cena is most comparable to surfer Sting, so Cena. I get why kids like him.

^ Wow, almost like you read my mind. I agree on all that, and felt the same way back in the day too.

I always liked the creepy dudes like Undertaker and Papa Shango. I'm not sure who would fit that mold now (aside from Undertaker, obviously). Probably Kane. And Ryback is creepy in that "destroy everyone" kinda way. I could see myself yelling FEED ME MORE, easily.

I liked tag-teams, technical wrestlers, comedy, supernatural characters and OTT/panto villain heels so I think Daniel Bryan and Kane would be my favourites.
Sin Cara and Rey would be next as how can I not like high-flying "underdogs" in masks? Maybe PTP too as they're pretty funny.
I'd like Regal, Barrett and Paige mostly due to them being from England, for some reason I doubt I'd care about Layla.
Santino, Ricardo, Undertaker and Sandow would be my other favourites.
I would have despised Ryback despite liking him as an adult, I'd also have hated Big Show as I'd have considered the KO punch as cheating.
So not much different to now really just missing a few of my other favourites.

John Cena, Daniel Bryan, CM Punk, Randy Orton.
Basically the same as they are now. Wrestling is better watched through the eyes of a kid.

Kid Me would've probably felt betrayed by Punk's heel turn.

I loved larger than life characters like Undertaker, Kane, The Rock, and Mankind as well as rebels like Steve Austin and Shawn Michaels. There doesn't seem to be a ton of guys that fit the bill.
I think I'd have marked hard for Punk's face run, with Rybak taking over after he turned heel. I know I'd HATE Heyman. Hell No would probably fill the niche that Rikishi and Too Cool did.

I was a fan of Mr. Perfect as a kid, so Dolph Ziggler would be one of my favorites.

Grew up loving the luchadors of WCW so it would have to be Sin Cara, maybe Kofi too.

My favorites as a kid were Yokozuna, Mabel, Vader, Hakushi, and then Rikishi a little later on in my childhood. I've always been a fan of the "fat" wrestlers...wrestling is really lacking in that department at the moment though, so if I had to wager a guess I'd say kid me would like Brodus and Tensai the best.

When I was a kid the guy who got me interested in wrestling was Roddy Piper when he was a heel. Around WM 1 when he was shaving midgets heads and smashing Snuka with the coconut. So whoever the modern version of him would be. Right now I guess it would be CM Punk.

Sting was my favorite as a kid, but there's no one really like Sting anymore.
I have a feeling my favorite would be either Cena or Dolph.

As a kid, I liked Bret Hart and Chris Jericho. I also had a tendency to annoy people by repeating the same things over and over. I'm not much different now. {Spoiler}Daniel Bryan.

As a kid I liked Savage, Bret, Owen, Shawn and Perfect over Hogan, Warrior, etc., so I'd probably like Punk, Bryan, Cesaro, and Ziggler.
