I don't recall the last time they've shown a vignette for him. Had to be like 3 or 4 weeks ago at this point.
Poor Johnny Curtis can't catch a break.

In a strange twist of irony, he'll debut in the new year as a serious monster heel.

Johnny Curtis has been wrestling since 1999, been on WWE payroll since 2006 and yet his combined screen time on national TV would struggle to get over the ten minute mark/ Something is definitely wrong here

Poor Johnny Curtis can't catch a break. In all honesty, I consider them ditching Fandango catching a break for Curtis.

They made fun of it on Are You Serious already, so I assume it's been dropped.

I think that this Fandango bit was never serious at all. This may be the first of interstitial promos showing some new face on our TV screens, just to get everyone talking. The buzz created (or lack thereof) will determine if the gimmick goes forward. This ploy fills airtime as well.

He should appear on Raw with his dirty curty gimmick. That was gold and it's a shame it happened on NXT were only five people watched it.

I don't see WWE ever putting Dirty Curty on a show that people watch. Hell, I'm shocked some of the stuff he did made it on their Internet shows with their overcompensating for PG in full effect.

I was looking forward to this gimmick, its either been canned or they are going to wait a couple of weeks due to The Shield and Big E debuts

I like Johnny Curtis, but the Fandango idea looked terrible. Hopefully they come up with something else for him.

This But seriously, I can't really blame them if they dropped the gimmick. It felt like someone just reached into a hat and randomly picked "handsome dancer" as the gimmick.

Will not existing ruin the Fandango gimmick?

I just want him to say "Let's get weird" on a live, international broadcast. His new gimmick should be a creepy Darkwing Duck. He starts the match getting his ass kicked, but then suddenly grabs the mic, flaps a cape as though he were flashing somebody with a conveniently creepy camera angle, and says "LET'S GET CREEEPYYYY" And suddenly he starts kicking ass. It would be his version of hulking up.

I thought it looked stupid anyway, I'm glad it got shelved.
Obviously I don't think they will put Dirty Curty on T.V. but something similar would be nice.

When I first heard of this gimmick, I thought it would be an add on to his creepy gimmick. Making him a ballroom dancer is an awful idea because it makes him a one dimensional character.
I'd debut him backstage, trying to woo the divas with his antics. Another issue as well is everyone has debuted as a heel recently, so that causes problems.
