I don't see how Portia is anything like AJ besides being small. I would rather TNA make their own characters than rip off ones from WWE, but if they had to, the last character I'd want to see two of is AJ.

Hating someone because other people love them is an unmistakable sign that you're a very annoying person.

Hating someone because other people love them is an unmistakable sign that you're a very annoying person. That may be the least logic I've ever seen in a post. You are basically saying you hate the entire human race because all of us are guilty of this.

I'd like to see more of Portia, with less clothes.

You are basically saying you hate the entire human race because all of us are guilty of this. You know what's REALLY not logical? To then say "basically" and then to rephrase what someone has said in a way that both does not capture their meaning and is deliberately ludicrous. If it matters: no, what you just said is completely, ridiculously untrue. People are actually way more likely to do the opposite: to LIKE someone just because they see a lot of others praising them (this is not more reasonable, but at least it's not obnoxiously negative). It makes precisely zero sense to dislike someone because of what their fans do.

It makes precisely zero sense to dislike someone because of what their fans do. That's because I disagree with your logic to the point where I think the one hundred percent opposite point is the one with logic. To illustrate my point about most of the human race hating people because of their popularity with a certain group of people who do like them (which is the Portia Perez situation) there are several examples: 1) Justin Bieber - he's maligned (sometimes unfairly) because of his insane fanbase. 2) Chris Brown - see above 3) John Cena - the majority of internet wrestling fans despise this guy because of how much he is shoved down our throats. It's started to happen with AJ too. It's in our nature to hate people because of the over-zealous nature of their fanbase or their over-exposure in our eyes. That is where the hole in your logic is. You claim that people who do this, by doing so confirm that they are an annoying person but most of us do this! At some point in your life the smart money is you'll have done it too, so that is the gaping hole in your logic.

At some point in your life the smart money is you'll have done it too, so that is the gaping hole in your logic. Okay, first of all, people hate Chris Brown because he beat up his girlfriend. That's kind of different. Actually, the John Cena thing is different, too: He's shoved down our throats not by his fans, but by the producers of the tv show he's on. You seem confused about the difference between over-exposure and just having excitable fans. Also... come to think of it, Bieber is a good example, but I love how you say he's "sometimes unfairly" hated because of his overzealous fans.... as if there's ever a FAIR way to malign someone because of what other people do. Anyway, it doesn't make sense to say "I've seen some people do this, and therefore everyone does it a lot." It also doesn't make sense to say, "Everyone does it a lot, and therefore it's not annoying." Finally, it doesn't make sense to say, "You probably do it, and therefore you can't speak up about how it's annoying." No, I don't do it, because it's annoying, and so when I catch myself doing it, I STOP. Three big problems.

Yeah I think nearly everyone is guilty of reactionarily disliking people. If you're legitimately above that then... congrats I guess but I doubt it. Its kind of human nature. Bunch of people like something and you don't get why so your neutral opinion of that thing becomes dislikes over time.
As for the subject of the thread sure I'd love for Portia to get signed by TNA if they used her right.

Being annoyed by people who dislike something because of its over zealous fans isn't really much different than dislike something because of its over zealous fans.
I'm guilty of not liking things because I find the fan base unbearable, my little pony & ironically - Portia perez (no offence to people that like these things) come to mind.
If I'm annoyed by their fans and you find me annoying for it, how does that make you and I any different?

You're not helping your cause, mang. Why don't everyone do a compromise and TNA just rehire Alissa Flash?

In the other case, you're annoyed with person X for what person Y does. One makes sense and the other doesn't.

John Cena got a lot of hate for being "pushed down peoples throats" by the wwe, making him your person Y and WWE your person X. In this case here of Portia, it is just her fans that are doing the pushing instead.
