So just a thought that I had recently. Cena and Orton had their first feud in 07 that ended with Cena getting injured. I believe they had 3 ppv match in 2008 as well. (No way out,WM,backlash). Then in 09 as most people are aware, had everything from a hell in a cell match, triple threat match with Hunter and the infamous 60 minute iron match at bragging rights. In 2010 they did not feud directly but both were a part of the big program on raw which was nexus trying to get the WWE title.
Since then, Orton and Cena have not had that much interactions. So when do you think they can have another program with each other? Do you think there is still some potential in a feud between these 2 stalwarts, or has the wwe run this feud to the ground?

I'd rather them tag and be a superpowers tag team.
Give them the straps now.

Now.
WWE should play up the "these two are each other's greatest enemies" angle to great heights.
That's the one thing superhero Cena has lacked. A proper supervillain of equal standing.

They already did that with trading wins in gimmick PPV main events. Why not flip the script and have Cena go nuts because Orton does awful things and people *still* love him?

Maybe with heel Cena.
Face Cena vs face Orton is going to be pretty dull. Face Cena vs Heel Orton, probably nothing new to really do there.

I'd rather them tag and be a superpowers tag team. Give them the straps now. I'd honestly rather see this. They'd give a much bigger boost to the tag division than any of the other uppercard mashup teams are doing, and it would benefit the roster as a whole. Orton is has been lost in the shuffle for a while. It's a good thing that he isn't such a dominant presence on the product as he previously was. However, despite Orton apparently being in the doghouse, he is still "too important to be left out" and thus Creative is compelled to pigeonhole him on PPVs/RAW/SD every week. Making sure Orton has something to do takes priority, and thus he floats around the upper midcard, and it ends up holding down the "real midcard" (the guys we don't expect to contend for a world title). John Cena could use a change in scenery. An extended tag run, not necessarily with Orton, but with ANYONE, would be less taxing on his body.

Yeah, for the "dream feuds", they really wore that shit out during their 2 big programs. It may have worked if;
1. Cena jobbed to Orton in 1 match (specifically dropping the belt to him) during their 2007 program.
2. They weren't dropping the belt to one another at every PPV during their 2009 program.
After those events...I got real f***ing tired of them working together. And it wasn't even that good to begin with, to be honest.

I'd love people to be cheering Orton and Cena to come out and take revenge for Orton punting his father/doing every satanic thing ever.

When/If Cena turns heel. The only thing that could spice up a Cena/Orton feud is a role reversal.

Another one for heel turn here...
Cena as the bad guy would freshen up the dynamic. In fact, if Cena ever does turn heel, I want Orton (arguably his biggest foe...it's a toss-up between him or Edge) to be the FIRST one to call him out.
