So, better question, if Dolph is supposed to be too smart to fall for AJ's BS (by "being right" about everything he said about her, to her face), why is he hooking up with her anyway? Especially since she's the one being portrayed as the mastermind (despite Dolph "being right"). You forget that AJ has Big E. Langston at her disposal so getting rid of Dolph (and maybe even get his briefcase) is a finger snap away. If the Dolph/AJ relationship affects anyone, it's Dolph since he left a safe way to the top by being with Vickie for a younger, more attractive and more volatile woman. I don't know, that kind of implies that Big E. showed up at Dolph's hotel room in the middle of the night with AJ in tow and just said "You broke her, you bought her." A big part of the whole angle was that he's supposed to be smarter than to get caught up in all that. Unless they somehow take this the WHOLE way back to the old NXT seasons and claim that she's ALWAYS been with him from Day 1 and that's why the angle with Kaitlyn got abandoned, and why she and Kaitlyn keep having their on-again-off-again volatility. I don't expect WWE to remember that far back, though.

Then again, Big E. is being built as AJ's friend and if Dolph somehow messes something up, no matter how small is the detail, chances are that AJ would overreact, sending Big E. after Dolph to take him out of the equation. That scenario would be worse if Dolph hasn't cashed the blue lunchbox/MITB contract since he might end up losing it since, FOR EXAMPLE, AJ wants it because Dolph cares more about the briefcase than about her..

I gotta be honest I usually do think WWE makes the heel look like they're in the right, but no way is Cena the bad guy here. yeah kissing AJ was stupid of him because he should've known what kind of person she is, but I don't see how siccing Big E Langston on him makes her the good guy here.

Yeah, she's definitely not the good guy here, which is a problem because you've basically got two sides - neither of which are all that admirable in how they've handled the thing.

Isn't that what Heels are suppose to be like, though? On paper, what they are saying is right and justified, it's how they convey the message and their actions that makes them Heels(i.e. Chris Jericho c. 2008, Straight-Edge Messiah CM Punk, etc.).

that's a misnomer. the heel doesn't have to actually be right, they just have to truly believe they are.

I don't recall seeing a thread about calling for Dolph's head about exploiting AJ, and he's the actual heel in all of this (calls the girl trash, yet not only claims she thought about him while kissing another man, but then actually makes out with her in public on multiple occasions). Unless AJ and Cena are playing the most elaborate romantic ruse I've seen in WWE... But AJ was the one that went after Dolph first. And if anyone is using the other in that relationship, it's AJ. LOL this thread went from painting AJ as a victim to an oppressor in seconds flat You people make Christmas Eve a joyful time, that's all I'm saying.

Sure he was a jerk. Cena is perhaps the only face who acts like a complete heel (totally unlikable) and yet WWE insists he's the babyface because 99.9% of his fanbase can't understand what's going on.
He's been a jerk for the majority of his face run. They just cover it up with plastering all the charity work promos etc to cover it up. Their thing is "cheer Cena because...well...he does lots of charity work for sick kids. Never mind that his character is a-moral to those who can see through the smoke and mirrors.
He's basically a bully.

And of course he'll be on Raw next week or the week after calling her a crazy hoe or something like that and generally making fun of her condition which he exacerbated with his behaviour. Exacerbater!

I wonder how this discussion would be different if everyone here universally liked John Cena and hated AJ, like WWE wants us to.

Initially Cena didn't know those bows were from AJ. When Vickie showed them to him, he immediately scoffed at them because he thought that Vickie was trying to set him up. At least that's how the WWE presented that segment.
If AJ would have just told Cena "Hey I made you a present, here's some bows!" then none of the confusion would ever happen. So no I don't think AJ's in the 'right' her character makes no sense especially now considering she's joined up with the guy who just put her down and called her out on her BS. I have no reason to feel sorry for her and every other character in the WWE would look stupid for trusting someone like her considering how many turns her character makes. She could kiss you one week then push you through a table the next, she can't be trusted.

Even if he ends up getting pushed through a table at some point, Ziggler still comes out ahead in the end by allying himself with her.

AJ is a crazy sociopath, and all the various people she's dealt with are varying levels of jerks, except for Kaitlyn who is the only 100% victim to not turn into a jerk.

Even if he ends up getting pushed through a table at some point, Ziggler still comes out ahead in the end by allying himself with her. Big E. responds to AJ because he's her friend (or at least that's how he's being presented to us). Big E. being Dolph's bodyguard is a thing because he's with AJ so Big E., like the good friend he is, will protect the person who AJ thinks will make her happy. As I said before, Big E. can turn on Dolph if AJ tells him to because he's there for her, not for Dolph.
