For the first time, this really didn't feel like a 3 hour Raw. I wasn't zoning out around 9:45 waiting for it to end i. Sadly, this probably won't last, as the format of this particular Raw is what made it so enjoyable, and it won't be repeated any time soon.

It was so nice to see a full, mostly self contained, episode of RAW. It would be awesome if every show was set up like that. Like an 80s comic. Self contained issue, with stuff building up to a bigger story.

My only complaint is that the faces won every single match. I would've like to see the heels get one win, like Cesaro and Barrett should've went over Miz and Kofi.

it was honestly the most fun I've had watching Raw in a long time. it was delightfully absurd in all the right ways. moment of the show was Big Show busting into Rudolph the Red-nosed Reindeer, with honorable mentions to playing Santa's accident as if it was somehow completely serious, and Daniel Bryan freaking out over Kane wanting to eat the dog. hell, even Khali was hilarious last night.

Everything made that a fun Raw from the Santa chants, CM Punk mocking Khali, heck even Rosa didn't screw up and Aksana hit a decent spine buster it was even better than Otunga's

Loved it, loved it, loved it. WWE can still churn out something special when it wants to.

I'd like to think all the wrestlers and announcers and etc. were having a blast on the show.

''Nice'' has to win over ''naughty.'' Such an awesome show. I really wouldn't complain if we got more specials like this.

I think what made this Raw great was Michael Cole selling the Santa thing seriously and not doing his horrendous forced laughter through everything. It's a small difference that made the episode actually funny.
Basically, WWE are actually funny when they're deadpan about their humour rather than "LAUGH, DAMN IT!".

Yeah, exactly and when they did laugh, you could tell it was genuine. The comedy, although cheesy was still clever. They even did a pie in the face gag but they put the spin of it bring a crappy weapon and that was a running gag in the match. When they're not trying it would've just been a pie in the face.

It was fun, but an example of one of the problems WWE has right now, that they see themselves as a variety show, and not a wrestling company.

WTF are you talking about? This was the ONLY show they have done like this in over a year. The attitude era was filled with segments like that, that were funny.

This was the ONLY show they have done like this in over a year. This show was the most obvious, but it's a theme that's been running in WWE for a while now. The guest hosts were the start of it. It's continued with "social media ambassadors", Twitter/Tout obsessions, and a greater emphasis placed on everything being "entertainment".

I still put the Post 'Mania RAW just for it probably being the best top to bottom wrestling show WWE put on but as a throwaway variety show of no significance...that was pretty damn fun.

That's only a problem if you don't enjoy the variety show though. Then again, the "variety show" has always been at the core of the company. The Rock & Wrestling Era is proof enough of this.

I understand that faces win most of the time, and especially when heels hold most of the belts but you have to have at least one heel win to have some sort of suspense in the matches.
