Matt should've been pushed w/o speaking and um yeah did he or didn't he spear Amy Dumas? he did? Oh, ok. then he needs to shut the front door about him being different than Edge. IMO, cheating is unexceptable. Not because I believe in love or relationships because I think they're a waste of time. But because all you have to do is say "I want to screrw other people". She didn't. He as a "freind" didn't warn Matty so, yeah. He gets booed by me.

Edge's voice irritates me... But not nearly as much as Lita's. I also think they're pretty bad at cutting a promo. To me it just seems like they're forcing everything so much with the way they talk. The words they choose to emphasize (especially Ms. Dumas) are the wrong words. They pause at all the wrong times in their sentences, and I'm not talking about pausing for the crowd and all that stuff. But I don't "hate" Edge. He's a good heel. I just think he's bad on the mic. But as long as he keeps Lita by his side, the majority of people wont realise this. i usually don't mind their bad promos, because whenever they show up on screen i usually either change the channel or busy myself with something else until they leave... which seems like forever lately

Matt came across as being obsessive and whiny and creepy.
His promo where he said Edge had robbed him of the chance to have a family seemed bizarre. As if Amy Dumas was the only child-bearing woman on the face of the Earth.
Plus when Lita said she had no obligation to be his girlfriend, it sounded perfectly reasonable to me.
And I've been impressed by Edge and Lita as heels.

And Matt wishing Edge get hit by a car, I don't hear many faces say that all the time. I liked his return, but when he kept "sneaking" in each week, it got old and stale. I know that part wasn't his fault, as creative told him to do so, but the promo he did sounded so generic and unemotional, so it was hard to root for him. Not to mention the clean jobs to Snitsky and Conway.

One of the other problems with the Matt/Edge feud is that I never really believed Lita was worth fighting for.
My reaction was basically "She dumped him. Oh well, no big loss for Matt".

Plus when Lita said she had no obligation to be his girlfriend, it sounded perfectly reasonable to me. Granted, Edge didn't steal Matt's ability to procreate, though he quite probably did steal Matt's wish to have a child with that particular woman, and when you're in love with someone at that stage, that's all you want. That stings far worse, maybe only temporarily, but it does feel horrible. As for having 'no obligation', then why did she sleep with someone else, rather than do the dignified thing and simply end it before moving onto the next person? 'Cause she thought she could still cling onto Matt, probably. There's absolutely no reason why she couldn't 'hold out' until she got back from touring or whatever, if she was a decent person, and not wanting to end it immediately via non direct communication. She did it whilst she was, for all Hardy knew, still commited to him. That's what's disgusting. You can reason 'well, these things happen' all you want, it doesn't make it any more excusable to do the wrong thing. As for what Edge has said, does he actually think that I would not know or have guessed that he maximised whatever exagerrations and falsified rumours to put himself over? I don't dislike Edge the wrestler other than in the way in which I may be 'supposed' to as an audience member. He's not real. I do, however, dislike Adam Copeland for the unsensationalised reality of what did actually happen, though Copeland doesn't seem to have factored that into the equation. He's obviously not as smart as me or whoever else can see that. As for the wrestling, quite frankly, I wanted Hardy to kick his arse anyway... and I'm not a Hardy mark, and never have been, because he's not particularly good ...which is why I'm not entirely suprised by people siding with Edge. Technically, Edge is better in all wrestling aspects... though this shouldn't have been a careerist battle. It should've been a strictly-moral battle, where the face went over. Then again, this is another example of WWE pathetically indulging into personal lives to make a buck.

Well, I'm glad that nobody here hates Adam for cheating with Amy on Matt in real life or anything stupid like that. It's not like he committed adultery or anything, not like that Sadist, Chris Benoit.
However, Kevin Sullivan is a short, creepy guy, so that's okay.
Yeah.

I felt sorry for Matt's feelings, but career wise, Edge helped get Matt over again. Regardless if Edge won the blow-off or not, Matt wouldn't have been the huge babyface that he was had he not had a story to win over the crowds heart when he returned. Working a program with Edge was a lot more exposure than coming back and main eventing Heat, which is most likely where he'd have ended up.

Then again, this is another example of WWE pathetically indulging into personal lives to make a buck. Based on what Matt and Edge's wife said, the two victims (and yes, they were victims. They maybe should have seen it coming based on Edge and Lita's rumoured histories, but they were still victims) learned about the affair, gave them a chance to break it off, and after a few weeks of it continuing, finally broke off both relationships. For those that thought Matt took it hard, Edge's wife seemed to take it harder. Both Edge and Lita tried to have it both ways even after they were caught, which doesn't speak too well of them if it is true.

Matt Hardy was very over as the Mattitude Version 1 heel. He got injured and got fired in the process after Edge's decision to be the kind of man he is. If anyone has benefited from this situation, it's been Edge. A guy that his own hometown spat on during his face return last year.

i wouldve loved to see Val Venis come in on the feud's end in a small bit where he shakes his head at Edge. Maybe it sets up a feud between them or something... o well

He only went to Raw to spend more time with Lita because, I don't know, he loved her and was devoted to her. Edge did remove a career distraction, but I'm thinking that Matt would have prefered to have been dumped than cheated on. One hurts, but the other leaves an emotional scar that will never truly go away. I actually feel a bit for Ashley. My wife's ex hurt her really badly, and she's appologized to me often over the years for being damaged. According to her, she used to be a whole lot more easy-going and sweet, and she feels that I'm getting cheated because that's not who she is anymore. THAT is why Matt should have gone over Edge. Who knows, they keep bringing things up, so maybe it's not completely done yet.

Nah..he was buried and the fans still cheered him outright as a heel. That's what led to the face turn before Kane threw him off that stage during the Wedding.

I will say that I don't know what happened backstage/real life so I'm just gonna go with what's in the ring: Amy cheated on Matt with Adam (an everyday situation, people cheat) Matt and Amy broke it off and Amy hangs with Edge They are now heels of the highest magnitude! Matt comes back week after week to hit Edge a few times. Matt gets resigned. Feud between Matt and Edge where Edge gives the better promos. Feud ends with Edge winning and Matt banished to Smackdown. Now let's extrapolate: Lita as a woman and a human being can be with whoever she wants, she wanted both but that falls through so she takes Edge. Edge and Lita are now a happy couple. Matt the ex now randomly comes around to beat the guy that his girl wanted. States in an interview/promo that she was with him and he feels Edge destroyed his future......obsessed much? They fight and Lita is still picking Edge and helps him to beat Matt. Hopefully the end. Now in what world would I feel sorry for Matt Hardy? The wrestling world? No he seemed lackluster in this feud and his promos were very bad, Edge on the other hand gave great promos. Lita.......well Lita gave Lita level promos. How about the real world? Would I support a guy that is beating up on a couple that for all intents and purposes is happy that he's not around and are happy together? No of course not. Just put two different people in the roles and it would be shifted. Say we made a movie and the woman is played by hmmmmmm....Natalie Portman. And the guy she runs away from her ex with is Gabriel Bernal. The guy playing the stalker ex is Ryan Gosling. The movie would get a totally different reaction.... Again this is just in ring stuff as I highly doubt any of us know what really happened (though I personally think it was all a work).

If anyone has benefited from this situation, it's been Edge. A guy that his own hometown spat on during his face return last year. Yeah, he was so over that he won the CW title. Woo hoo on that one. Besides, he wasn't on SD as V1...he was on Raw being squashed by Kane. You call THAT over? He would have got a good pop or two right after his return, I'm sure, but right after that he'd have been jobbing to the boot o' doom from Tomko. If anything, he owes Edge a couple thank yous. One for taking a skank of the highest magnitude, the likes of which you've never seen, off of his hands. Another for actually making Matt look legit and giving people a reason to care about him. After all, Matt wouldn't have got his job back had Edge refused to work a program with him. I actually like Matt a little. Edge always has and always will be superior to him though and it showed with their feud. Put it this way.. Edge has a guaranteed main event spot. Edge has went over guys like HBK, Benoit, Kane, Big Show, Orton, Jericho, and was one of the last 3 in the Royal Rumble along with BOTH current champions, Cena and Batista. Uhm, they've pushed him THAT strong and people think Matt freakin Hardy should have went over?! Talk about not making much marketing sense. Who has a better shot at being a future headliner in WWE, Matt Hardy or Edge? The answer to that question is the reason why Edge went over.
