Was shocked to see this on Twitter earlier. An absolute legend of British TV. He was another of those people that you just expected to keep on going and going, as indestructible as Captain Scarlet. RIP.

RIP. Very true. This news makes me quite sad. Captain Scarlet (both the original and new series) is one of my favourite TV shows. He was a great innovater and achieved so much in the world of marionation and television. Rest in peace Gerry.

Hadn't seen much of the SuperMarionation shows but I loved the special effects and model-work on "UFO" and "Space: 1999". The guy knew how to make the future look cool.
Rest in peace, sir.

Rest in peace. On another note, it's been practically a celebrity passing a day for the past four days at least.

Was Terrahawks one of his?
If so, that's the only show of his I've seen.

Was Terrahawks one of his? If so, that's the only show of his I've seen. Yep, he co-wrote it. Joe 90 was another one of his, and Fireball XL5.

I read this as 'Thundercats'.
Regardless, RIP. Horribly tragic.
