Dolph Ziggler - YES Eve - Maybe at the start of the year Ted DiBiase - HAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHA Chris Jericho - SURE Hunico - NO Wade Barrett - Not really but the injury didn't help Rey Mysterio - Why is he even listed? Zack Ryder - YES, But they handled it rather terribly and... Cody Rhodes - YES and NO. He got lost in the shuffle mid year and is only now starting to recover Sheamus - YES for his title reign, good or bad Kane - YES but for completely different reason than anyone suspected R-Truth - NO

Dolph. Yes. Pairing with AJ can only help him going forward.
Eve. Yes to a certain extent, but could have been much better had WWE not got scared of her receiving a reaction they didn't intend/expect, and making Cena look bad.
DiBiase. Obviously not.
Jericho. Not really. His comeback was very underwhelming, heel run was forced and didn't line up with the awesome vignettes, and his feud with Punk (while having good matches) was a poor re-run of an ROH feud and suffered from bad timing.
Hunico. Clearly one of the better workrate guys in the company, unfortunately got a serious injury. Hopefully the changes to Superstars doesn't affect his ability to have great matches when he returns.
Barrett. Nope. Injured + struggling to find gimmick, look, and finisher that works for him.
Rey. No. As big a fan as I am, and as great has he has been, he's obviously on his very last legs. Match with Sin Cara at WM (assuming they can both make it) should be his farewell.
Ryder. Nope. Fun while it lasted but WWE obviously didn't like that he got himself over. Isn't really that great of a talent to sustain a really big push but they were always going to sandbag him.
Cody. To a certain extent. I felt he lost a lot of momentum after Undashing finished. Obviously he couldn't go on wearing the mask, but it's like he's gone backwards in his evolution when it felt like he could make the jump to the main event.
Sheamus. Yes. Had a big year with a number of really good matches, and although his character his cringeworthy at time (the comedy segment with Otunga in the lawyers office was one of the WWE's biggest fails this year) he's established as a main eventer and can deliver in the ring.
Kane. Absolutely. Not long ago I would have said he should retire, but the AJ trio storyline completely reinvigorated him as both a character and a worker. Wrestling Bryan and Punk forced him to raise his game, and Team Friendship has been an enormous success.
R-Truth. Nope. His heel character was great and something unique, so they turned him back to a stale comedy character.

I watched most of them at some point in 2012, so on that basis I guess the list is legit.
Most of them were watched pretty briefly.

Thus Ryder is a midcarder.

Ziggler, Eve and Sheamus, yes. The rest, no.
Ziggler, Eve and Sheamus have all increased their standing in the company and had a big impact in 2012.
The rest either haven't increased their standing enough (Kane, Jericho, Truth, Mysterio etc.) or have had minimal impact on the product (Ryder, Rhodes, Hunico) etc.
And Ted DiBiase has just done nothing.

Dolph Ziggler - Yes, just took all year to do anything. Eve - Main Diva for the first 1/4, second for the last 3/4. Say so. Ted DiBiase - Looked like he was on to something with the DiBase Posse stuff but injury killed it. Chris Jericho - NO Hunico - No, injuries hurt but he wasn't getting anywhere before that either. Wade Barrett - No, injuries. Rey Mysterio - No, Injuries and suspension then injuries again. Zack Ryder - I guess you can give him the the first 1/4 of the year but no. Cody Rhodes - Not really. Just kinda floated until the tag team with Sandow and then was injured. Sheamus - Yes. Kane - I think so. Main evented the first 1/4 and then some over the summer before starting Team Hell No. R-Truth - Yeah. He found a good role with the Lil' Jimmy mid card face stuff and had a good run with Kofi as Tag Champs.

Interesting. You would think this is a list of guys WWE planned to push in 2012, but some of them didn't work out that way. Allow me to provide my own review:
Dolph Ziggler - Certainly a major rising star of 2012. He belongs Eve - She got plenty of camera time and a Divas title. She belongs. Ted DiBiase - I don't even know what happened to him. Does not belong. Chris Jericho - Um, mixed bag here. He had half a year. It was a good half a year, so I say yes, he belongs. Hunico - No, he doesn't belong. Wade Barrett - This guys is relentlessly pushed. Still wait and see with him though. Injuries slowed him down. Rey Mysterio - Shoulda been Sin Cara in this spot instead. Zack Ryder - Feels like he took a step back this year. He belongs on this list, be he didn't have a great year. He was one to watch alright. Too bad we watched him fail. Cody Rhodes - Cody is awesome. He belongs. Sheamus - Sheamus got a mega push. He belongs. Kane - Very active in 2012. He belongs. R-Truth - Tag Team Champion? Another guy who seemed to take a step backwards this year, but whatever. He belongs.
I give this list a 8/11
