So I just finished watching The Dark Knight Rises for only the second time and... I have such mixed feelings on it. I've seen it once in theaters and HATED it and saw it again on Blu-Ray and it's a good movie but something about it just doesn't click with me. I wont waste space criticizing the ending or all the story questions since others have done it far better on here, but it still feels like a heavily condensed movie. Bane was easier to hear though. What do you guys think re-watching it?

My favorite of the three, and my favorite of all Batman movies. I loved the overall story, Bane was killer, loved Anne Hathaway as Catwoman - just a great, great movie.

I had the same experience. I saw it in theaters and loathed it. I got the blu-ray for Christmas, and after watching it again, I loathe it slightly less.
I thought the villains in DKR were by far the weakest of the series, which (I think) was mostly due to the way they were portrayed. Between Batman and Bane, I feel like my tolerance for goofy voices is extremely high after seeing this movie.
I think there was a thread on it a while back, but I would agree with those that feel Anne Hathaway was horrible as Catwoman. But, at the same time, I haven't enjoyed her in anything ever. So there's that.

My favorite of the three movies. I wish the films were plotted out better, with the League of Shadows impacting the second film more, Miranda being introduced earlier, Harvey being in the first one, etc. But, as someone who loved the Dark Knight's performances but not the movie as a whole, I enjoyed this one a lot more.
It certainly helped that the film references "The Battle of Algiers" during the fight scenes.

It's tied with Prometheus on my "Good Movie That Could Have Been Great" list of 2013

Bane's voice is jarring. Not sure why they decided to go with that. His mask was rubbish too. Looked liked a crab.

The more I watch clips of Bane speaking, the more I'm convinced it sounds like a guy doing a gag dub voiceover for the character.

Huh, didn't think I'd be in the minority with this one.
I was skeptical of Bane's voice at first, but I think it fits quite well. He's this big menacing guy, but he speaks like THAT - and it somehow gives him a bit of class and etiquette when, by all means, he shouldn't have either.
I like it.

Loved it.
I really liked how they tied up the story set up in the first movie. Also I just thought it was a really great story and the perfect send off for that franchise.
It's the best trilogy I've ever watched.

Really liked it.
Anne Hathaway riding on the Batcycle was pure cinematic genius ;D

I saw it at the midnight premiere, then again last night, and both times I completely loved it. Plenty of plot holes, but I can overlook those pretty easily. And personally, thought Bane was a much better villain than Ledger's Joker. {Spoiler}Well, up until he abruptly gets demoted to minion when Talia shows up.

My favorite of the three and one of my favorite movies of all time. It's such a grandiose Old Hollywood cinema experience, and I find Bane to be almost as compelling as the Joker but for very different reasons. However, at the end of the day it's Bruce Wayne's movie, which is something that Nolan's trilogy did well: Make you care about Batman more than the villains he fights.
I also never thought I'd see Knightfall and No Man's Land adapted into a Batman movie, so it holds a special place in my heart.

The more I watch clips of Bane speaking, the more I'm convinced it sounds like a guy doing a gag dub voiceover for the character. This is difficult for me. I feel like Bane's original voice was much more intimidating, but I could understand only about 50% of what he said; I feel that Bane's new voice is much clearer, but he's not as threatening with the higher pitch (also, way too loud).

I think what hurts it is the start. Pre-Batman/Bane fight it's one of the most boring superhero movies ever, but boy does it pick up after that.

I can really appreciate the level of craftsmanship they put into the film. It looked like an extremely difficult movie to put together. So many different, elaborate sets, highly complex camera movements. All very well done.
But outside of the technical aspects it all fell pretty flat for me & I'm not one of those "Bane's voice ruined it!" guys. It didn't really bother me.
Maybe I just don't have the pre-existing emotional attachment to the character, which helps pull you in further, but Batman Begins was probably the best of the 3 to me. Though the performances in 3 were probably better overall.

I enjoyed it in theaters, but I appreciated it even more when I recently watched it on Blu-ray. I don't know if I'd rank it above The Dark Knight, but being able to rank them isn't really important to me. All three were well-done. Great work by Nolan et al.

I still need to watch it on Blu-Ray, but after seeing it in the theaters and only "liking" it, I have a feeling the second viewing will be better.
