Pretty much how I feel. I liked it in the theaters but after watching it a second time recently, I found I enjoyed it more. I still need to watch it on Blu-Ray, but after seeing it in the theaters and only "liking" it, I have a feeling the second viewing will be better. That was my big motivation for wanting it for Christmas, hoping that the second viewing would be better. Maybe I'll just grow into liking it, since I didn't think Batman Begins was that great either until later on. Also, I didn't mention this in my OP but Anne Hathaway was amazing.

I friggin love it more after buying it. I definitely have to have a marathon soon. Kinda glad I only watched it once in the theaters because it seemed kinda fresh. It seemed a lot shorter though watching it from home than it did in the theaters. I've been watching the hell out of it though. The only bummer and I guess because I have a solid comparison is Bane's intro scene It just screams obvious voiceover and doesn't seem natural as it did in the original but maybe thats my bad for keeping it on my comp.

I had a similar experience to some in this thread. When I saw it in theaters this Summer I definitely liked it, but I wasn't in love with it. Avengers and Spider-Man were two superhero movies I put above it pretty comfortably. I slotted it 3rd in the Nolan Trilogy and felt good about it. I got the blu-ray for Christmas and watched it a couple of nights ago. To be honest I went from liking it fine to being blown away. It's difficult to even put my finger on what caused that leap exactly. I do know that visually it was stunning. All the IMAX scenes looked phenomenal on my TV as opposed to my local movie theater. Funnily enough back in the Summer I said Prometheus was the most beautiful looking movie I'd ever seen, but the transfer to blu-ray somehow lost some of that. Dark Knight Rises gained it in droves.
It isn't The Dark Knight. Bane is no Joker and there is nothing here whatsoever to fill the void of Two-Face. But where as this was comfortably the #3 movie of the trilogy in my mind, now I'm good with debating its place with Batman Begins. I've never had a movie take a leap this substantial between theater viewing and the first home viewing.

Bane's voice is jarring. Not sure why they decided to go with that. His mask was rubbish too. Looked liked a crab. You mean the Goatse mask?

I thought it was OK, but it had a lot more flaws than the previous two movies. Not a bad movie at all, but certainly not a great one to me.

K i've been meaning to ask this for a while but how did Blake get the coordinates of the batcave? I could understand if he stumbled upon it while at the mansion and all but at no time during the film do we see Bruce say if anything happens to me go here or anything to that effect.

He got left it in Bruce's will, when she calls him Robin. The only issue I have with the film on Blu-Ray is that Bane's voice was so loud compared to the rest of the film, it made my speakers vibrate and hurt my ears after a while.

I haven't noticed that personally, but I could understand if either they tried making it easier to hear or just from the conversion to Blu-Ray.

I enjoyed it even though it could have been better.
Did they ever elaborate on how Batman didn't get blown up by the bomb? Did I miss that?
Also: I don't care what anyone says about how she played the role Anne Hathaway was smoking hot as Catwoman.

Just saw it for the first time this morning and thought it was good. It pretty much wasn't going to be as well liked/loved as the second which I think was the best (but Ledger's Joker is highly overrated), but found it to be good.
I actually liked Bane and thought he was a good villain but thought his end was a bit anti-climatic. A question I have is what exactly was Bane's relationship with Tate. He saved her and all but did they hint that he "loved" her? Were they hinting that he was a pedophile?

There was a scene where Morgan Freeman discovers Bruce had fixed the ejector seat in the helicopter, I think. And then Batmaned his way to safety after ejecting in the middle of the ocean under a nuclear explosion.

Did I miss that?. {Spoiler}After Batman "died" Fox asked his engineers if there was anything he could have done to fix the autopilot. The engineer said that it HAD been fixed...by Bruce Wayne. How come the only person who grew a beard in all the time Bane was running the city was Bruce Wayne? Why not all the cops trapped underground?

Actually, I'm pretty sure he ejected after the explosion in the city when he was taking the bomb through a dust cloud. The auto-pilot was fixed so he just went on from there.

I saw it at the midnight premiere, then again last night, and both times I completely loved it. Plenty of plot holes, but I can overlook those pretty easily. And personally, thought Bane was a much better villain than Ledger's Joker. {Spoiler}Well, up until he abruptly gets demoted to minion when Talia shows up. The more I think about it and the more times I see the movie, that bothers me so so much.

I bought it on DVD when it came out, and was given a Blu Ray player as well as the trilogy on Blu Ray. Must say I still think it is amazing after repeated viewing.
I loved Bane, the guy was such a beast. His body language oozed someone who you should be afraid of.

I just watched it again, and when Batman suggests that he can fly it over the bay Catwoman asks if he is going to eject, and Batman says "no, autopilot." So I guess that answers my original question.
