I don't think anyone actually wanted CM Punk to turn heel when he did. They should ret-con that, like, yesterday. Just have him say "I was really, really mad. Catering ran out of Diet Pepsi that day and I had just had enough." You know what's great? The crowd resisted his heel turn so much and Punk is so charismatic that he could actually come out and cut that promo with a smirk on his face and they'd pop for it, and fully embrace him as a face again. It's exactly like Eddie Guerrero's attempted 2003 heel turn.

I think Barrett would make a good face. He's just too cool to remain a heel. His beard, mannerisms, grizzled tough-guy yet handsome looks, the broken nose, the bareknuckle background, his cocky attitude without coming across as douchy, his awesome voice.... Barrett is just cool. Barrett is cool. But I dont see anything face-ish about him. I actually think Barrett could be the next Triple H megaheel.

Ziggler, just because of how awful a heel he is. Nothing he does really comes off as dastardly.

Yeah, after hearing Dolph on commentary during the Show/Cena match a few weeks ago, I'm just not buying him as a heel.

I don't think anyone actually wanted CM Punk to turn heel when he did. I did. He's so much better as a bastard. Its not even close. He was pretty damn terrible leading up to Money in the Bank. Like, awful. You could just see the facepalming in his eyes as he told AJ that she meant more than the WWE championship. Poor guy.

I don't think anyone actually wanted CM Punk to turn heel when he did. I didn't want Punk to turn heel when he did, but I just accepted it. However, last year in 2011, I didn't want Punk to turn face when he did either. To me the pipebomb promo was basically a heel whining that he wasn't being pushed. I felt that the only thing that really made him rootable at the time was simply that he was "someone other than Cena".

Even though he pretty much is by association with Kane...I'd have to say Daniel Bryan. Why WWE hasn't gone all out and cashed in on his popularity is beyond me.
All it would take is for him to accept the YES! chants again. Easiest turn ever. They could even keep the NO! chants like for when someone hits or kicks Bryan...crowd chants NO!...every time he fights back...crowd chants YES!
As much they love money...I have no idea why they haven't done this yet.

Y'know, I'm interested in how a face version of the Shield would be like. Would they be like the APA or a wrestling version of the A-Team?

To me, it just really falls flat.

Well, Curt Hawkins and Drew McIntyre haven't really had the opportunity to strut their stuff as faces. Four or five straight years as bad guys.
Also, for some reason, I find myself wanting to like Tensai. Now that he's jobbing, I just feel bad for him and see him as sort of a "goof".

They did this promo/feud with Cena right after the god-awful Little Jimmy program. So if they didn't expect a good deal of the crowd to go with Punk, they're freaking nuts. Going from one of the most kiddie-pandering things they've ever done (complete with god awful plants being used), and the awful finish of the PPV blowoff, to a worked shoot basically crapping on the company.... not a good idea if you want the shooter to be a heel.

Vickie - Just so she can be cheered for hitting the frog splash, I thought it was harsh of the crowd to boo her for doing that. Of course I'm not sure how a face Vickie would work the rest of the time. Vickie pointing to the sky and hitting the frog splash as Mania is one of my favourite moments of all time. Chokes me up every time.

A Major Broskis reunion where Hawkins & Ryder tag together, but still keep their individual personas (Ryder still has all his frills, Hawkins still has "Glen", etc.) would be the way to go.
