gabriel-hasn't been on a major show in who knows how long slater-in a jobber stable barrett and ryback aka skip sheffield are the only ones having success I don't view Slater post Nexus as a failure. He has had the weekly feuds with legends up to 1000 and now has 3MB. He is a valued comedy act on the roster and I feel he has more worth in the role currently compared to Santino, Clay etc. Plus he is really underrated in the ring. They are finally starting to use Gabriel in a tag team with Kidd, yeah it isn't much compared to other Ex Nexus members but they are slowly starting to realize how good the two of them are as a team, and I hope they get a push soon. Gabriel I also feel has been a valuable jobber and undercard act, something that is always needed in any roster. The only one in Nexus that I don't feel has been somewhat successful in any way has been Tarver imho. weekly feuds that he LOST i don't consider that success, success is having victories

I am glad I am not the only one who gets the Batista vibe regarding Roman Reigns. If they work things out correctly with The Shield and Reigns has his big turn, it SHOULD be huge. Oh, are we back on topic? Sorry, I thought we were, for some reason, talking about Nexus being jobbers.

Bryan also lost most of the time when he had the MITB briefcase, still the most over guy on the roster. Rey lost most of the time during his first run with the world title, but still has a job with the company years after and still over with the audience

As great as it's been so far, things in wrestling don't last forever, so when the Shield inevitably break up, I think (and indeed, hope) great things are in store for Ambrose and Rollins, but you just gotta know Vince has his eye on Roman Reigns. That soft spoken, calm persona turning into a raging, bellowing ass-kicking machine is perfect babyface stuff, and the guy has the "big man" look that Vince loves. And well, y'know, dude isn't exactly hard on the eyes either. He's perfectly fine as a heel, but I think his real star power is when he turns face. I dunno. Modern day Batista, anyone? Silent Rage?

It depends. At TLC, they really shielded him (no pun intended) from doing much, as Rollins and Ambrose pretty much carried the whole match from start to finish. So if he improves, he might be something.

The difference is that Reigns is nowhere near as large as Batista was. Reigns looks big because of the two guys he's paired with

Royal Rumble: Double Countout with Kane Elimination Chamber: def. Kane WrestleMania: lost to Rock Extreme Rules: def. Lesnar Over The Limit: lost to Rock No Way Out: def. Big Show Money In The Bank: won RAW MITB SummerSlam: lost Triple Threat with Punk and Big Show Night Of Champions: Double Pin Draw with Punk Hell In A Cell: No match Survivor Series: lost Triple Threat with Punk and Ryback TLC: lost to Ziggler He's 4-2-5 on PPV this year, so this could be the first time in quite a long time that he has an under 0.500 PPV record for the year.

Kinda seems like they're trying to pass off boring as mysterious and badass. Haven't seen any of his work though, maybe he shows a lot of personality when he's not in Bossman gear on a webcam.

I've said this already, but I find Reigns more entertaining than Rollins at this point. I feel like he could be a fantastic hand in the near future, his mannerisms are winning me over every time I see him.

The Shield is the classic Freebird group. One badass brawler (Reigns), a smarmy mouthpiece (Ambrose), and the guy who can take a beating (Rollins).

I think a Khal Drogo gimmick is in order here.

I think Rollins may turn face first (he's the Randy Orton of the group, except that he'd make a much more believable face), but I think Reigns would be the one to 'end' The Shield so to speak, probably with a title victory over Ambrose at Wrestlemania.
I'm sorry to compare it all to Evolution, but I just get that vibe from them, y'know? I don't quite know who their Ric Flair is though...

I've said this already, but I find Reigns more entertaining than Rollins at this point. Same, I never expected to be saying that I felt like Rollins was the weak point of the group. There is one thing I'm kinda interested in finding out though, will the WWE play up that Reigns is related to Rock? If Punk/Heyman IS commanding Shield it's almost a certainty he'll have them interfere in Punks match with Rock, will Reigns refuse and send a shockwave through the group?

Ahh man, this is an idea I actually like a lot. And there'd be a ton they could do to build off of it. I'd love to see it play out with Reigns refusing to beat down the Rock, followed by like a month of tension culminating with Amrose and Rollins turning on him. They could introduce a guy like Ohno to take his place, and they could continue the program by having Reigns and The Rock feud with the new Shield. This is all wishful thinking of course, but I think it'd be monumentally helpful to use the Rock to ultimately get a bunch of young guys over.
