I don't know how many people are into the whole idea of director's commentary for movies, but for those that do find them interesting, are there any movies you can think of that you wish had commentary that don't? For me, it's gotta be The Dark Knight Trilogy. I find Chris Nolan to be a really interesting guy and hearing his thoughts on scenes and people's reactions to them would be really cool.

Dune No Holds Barred Troll 2 Agreed, along with any movie directed by Alan Smithee. (If you don't know who he is, look him up)

Bad Boys II because I really wonder what went through Michael Bay's head during the production of the film with the 360 spinning camera in the Haitian shootout scene. Also, during the corpse van chase and the mortuary scene.
I really wonder if there is a version outside of the US that has a commentary track. I would love to hear it.

Also, i heard that the UK version of They Live has Roddy Piper on the commentary track. I so wish they had added that to the US version (there were 3 releases of it, counting the blu-ray so they have no excuse).

I just read a review to confirm and yes it's on it. So that's only two releases without it, the 1999 one from Image back before the commentary was recorded and the 2003 one from Universal.

If only Hogan was not in TNA. I REALLY would love to hear his commentary about this movie. Or maybe have a commentary track with some of the current WWE wrestlers.

I agree with wanting commentaries for Nolan's Batman movies.
There's also Superman Returns. In The Superman Ultimate Collector's Edition (DVD release (Kryptin)), and The Superman Motion Picture Anthology (Blu), we got commentaries for Superman (both Theatrical and Expanded), Superman II (both Lester and Donner Cuts), Superman III, and Superman IV, but no commentary for Returns.

a variation: I wish Eric Freeman would come out of wherever he's hiding and do a commentary for Silent Night, Deadly Night 2.

Most of Christopher Nolan's films,I hate the fact that he doesn't like to do commentary on his films, but I understand the reasoning behind it.

Jaws, Raiders of the Lost Ark and, inevitably, Schindler's List.
Spielberg does not like doing commentaries, period. He thinks they distract from the movie when the movie should speak for itself. Real shame, especially in the case of Jaws. It's a miracle that movie didn't kill Speilberg.

Re: Nolan: while I'd love some good commentary on films like the TDK trilogy, Inception, etc, his commentary on Memento straight up sucked, IMO. But that may have been due to his disdain for them.
