Yes because El Local is basically a jobber that is used exclusively on one show.
Talking about a guy that would be on the A or B show? Would be kinda weird.

I'd be fine with them changing the name so long as he can keep the gimmick. That's far more important to me.

El Generico is the best professional wrestler in North America. Very exciting if this turns out to be true

If he loses the mask, cuts the hair, shaves the beard and becomes ubber SRS, they could called him Chris Generico.

You know, I'm usually not too bothered by indie guys getting a gimmick revamp when they sign for WWE, but in this instance I am praying they bring in El Generico as El Generico. The kids will absolutely adore him.

If they do let him keep everything (he can lose the Brainbustaaahhh I guess) his mask, name, cape, new WWE version of OLE! theme, this guy is destined to be the kids new favorite wrestler.

When I heard the news I was initially apprehensive, but Generico was doing so well in the indies that if shit started to go sour with the WWE he could easily just ask for his release and take back his spot. Essentially what Low Ki did really.
