The polite applause the fans give these 'favorites' is going to be the stuff of legends. Apparently a lot of former castaways were busy when they filmed this.... I'd say my order of excitement goes: 1. Malcolm 2. Phillip 3. Cochran 4. Corrine 5. Erik 6. Dawn 7. Andrea 8. Dawn 9. Brandon 10. Francesca Also, it's good to see I'm not the only one still bitter over that bitter jury Big Brother screwjob. I haven't seen anything from Ian since the finale, but I imagine he reached Super Sayain evels of douchebagliness. Ian believes his own hype, and I get the distinct feeling he thinks he's really charming. I, for one, don't see it. Why they couldn't have used Francesca's spot on, say, David is beyond me. I'm happy Cochran is back though. Nonetheless, hopefully I'll be able to stick with this season to the end this time. I've ducked out after the first episode and I'm beginning to question if Redemption Island being my gateway season had anything to do with it. ... What? It was the first one I saw all the way through! It might be. As much as I love Boston Rob, I wouldn't say that was one of the best seasons. However, the last season was very good. One of the best seasons they've had in a while.

One of the best seasons they've had in a while. Ian lost me as soon as he and Brit became a duo. His face when Brit got blindsided still makes me a happy gentleman. Really that's one place I'd say he and Cochran differ the most. Ian got way attached to Brit-Brit and played on emotion a few times. Cochran, even though he lost, seemed like more of a pure gamer. And back full-fledged to Survivor. Good god I can't tell you how happy I am that they didn't bring Jane back. She was rumored there for a while, and I was absolutely dreading it. Same with Troyzan, but to a lesser extent.

Back when Ian was prepared to leave at Final 4 before Dan blindsided Shane, Ian said he was fine with leaving there because he would become the Rob Cesternino of BB and be the smartest player to never win the game.
Like ... what?
And yes, Jane never needs to be anywhere near this show again. Old bitchy bat.

Plus, Cochran doesn't seem to take himself too seriously at all. He has a self-effacing humor that I appreciate. I'm glad they didn't bring back Jane, too. I don't like it when the show gives positive edits to negative people, especially when a lot of the audience rolls with it.

Yeah. Like... when she got pissed that they were going to vote her out, so she put out their fire.
Hooray for bitter old ladies!

Is Francesca the only first-boot contestant to ever come back and play a second time? And more importantly, WHY? Because she lost the first Redemption Island duel? That somehow makes her memorable enough to come back?
People I would've rather had back:
Troyzan Tarzan Cat
What can I say, One World was at the very least entertaining with all it's crazies.
Jim Christine
If any two people from South Pacific deserve a second chance, it's them.
Dave from Samoa Jason from FvF1 RC
All three deserved to go further in the game than they did.
Colton Abi
Every season needs good villains and these two together would've been gold.
...Hey, I just gave them a great Favorites tribe for FvF3! ;D

Yeah. Like... when she got pissed that they were going to vote her out, so she put out their fire. Hooray for bitter old ladies! Or when she said awful things about Marty's family, because she didn't like him. Is Francesca the only first-boot contestant to ever come back and play a second time? And more importantly, WHY? Because she lost the first Redemption Island duel? That somehow makes her memorable enough to come back? I'm kind of looking forward to her coming back just because I think there was untapped potential there. Again, not someone I'd call a "favorite" but I liked her and am interested in seeing how she does if given a chance to play for longer than 3 days.

YES THANK GOD FOR THE JANE HATE ON THIS BOARD!!!!!!!!!!!!! Never saw a more unlikeable bitter person on the show, How she treated Marty was not only uncalled for, but there was absolutely no reason for it. And she fell victim to a power move, when nobody promised her anything and threw a bitch fit about it. Should of scrambled with Fabio you old hag. Complained about everything that didn't go her way. Here's who I wouldn't mind seeing back Matty from Gabon: Likeable guy who if not lost final immunity would have won the game Rob Cesterino: Who doesn't want this guy back Ball. Dave Ball. funny115.com/v2/75.htmMarty from Nicaragua: Guy showed a good head for the game until old bitter Jane villified him. Alina from Nicaragua: Besides being cute, she too had a good head for the game until being villified by another bitch, NaOnka Jay from One World: Great likeable guy, give him a chance with numbers and he could be a huge threat to win, Bill from One World: Never got see much of him due to Colton's bigotry. Shambo: Cool charachter. Only real memorable contestant not named Russell from Samoa Dave Murphy from RI: He too showed a strong mind, and guys like him are ideal on they jury. Would love to see him play with numbers. Matt Elrod: More out of pity then respect. Bobby Jon: Pretty much got screwed by a s***ty tribe in Palau and the big tribe switch in Guatemala. Let's see how the likeable guy does with no shenanigans. Holly Huffman: Had a total 180 in her game play during Nicaragua. Kinda reminds me of Denise with out the physical threat. Jim Rice: Liked his will to stay alive after all of his Savaii were gone. Again if he had numbers who knows? Judd Seargent: Never will be brought back, but hillairous. Rafe from guatemala: Good uunderrated player who kinda fell under the radar but still made moves. Colton: More so he can get served, and every season does need a villian

I'm pretty certain that outside Stephenie, they'll never pick someone from Guatemala ever again. Which is a shame, because I liked that season. I tend to like seasons others classify as "boring", though. And I loved Matty in Gabon. He was my favorite for the season

I think Francesca is back to fill out the token black lady spot and cause drama with Phillip, even though there are SO many better african american female choices.

I disagree with how he feels but unlike him, I have no control over the decision.

Well, Probst told Cesternino that this season would be as good or better than the one we just had, so it should be fun to watch, especially if one rumor is true.

I want Andrea, Malcolm and Philip to make it to the end with Phil as the GOAT, but I wouldn't be mad to see Cochran redeem himself this season after all the abuse he got for simply making a big move against a crappy/cancerous tribe.
I'm also feeling the Marine Corps black guy and Allie who 'doesn't care if she has a bed or food' since she seems to be the only non-vapid female on that team. Good lord-- the woman who named her kid after Colby needs to be eliminated FIRST followed by the beauty pageant winner in that order.
Also eager to hear Phil mangle Franchesskwa's name in more hilarious ways.

i thought the part of being a "favourite" was to actually be...a favourite?
honestly, the only people i like out of those being brought back are malcolm and brenda. mostly for the eye candy though.

They are favorites.
That's why it's called Fans vs. (Mostly the Producers') Favorites!

I agree that Brenda (and Andrea) are pretty much the only female Favorites that are worth a damn in the list. They really picked some headscratchers but then again I'd imagine most of the true fan-favorites have already been on 3-4 times and are done with Survivor for life (Jerri, Parvati, Sandra, etc.-- plus they've already all won a season so it'd be overkill to bring them back just to be voted out first for being a former winner).
I would've killed to see Troyzan play again, though. I felt so bad for him being up against a tribe full of women who were perfectly willing to hand Kim the game rather than actually play the game of Survivor with him. He deserves a decent shot at the money over most of the Favorites that've gotten the callback this season.

I'd rather see people come back who had a legitimate chance to win and not people who screwed up but made for good editing. No man from One World deserves to come back except maybe Matt or Bill who were tossed because they didn't rub that queen of the spineless men Colton the right way. Jesus if they buckled so fast under his bullying and manipulations what would they have done with a Russel or Parvati. Not the sign of an all star or favorite in my book.
I feel sorry for the casts shrink on this season. That's a lot of crazy to deal with.

He, along with Jay, Leif, and tarzan are the ones who gave control of the tribe over to Colton. Remember when they won immunity and gave it up so colton could get rid of Bill? Troyzan voted for that. Then he and Jay fell right for the girls' crap and sold their tribe out. That's why he ended up on the bad side of the numbers. Again, that's his fault. Then, ignoring his own decisions that sunk him, he played the victim card. Nobody except (as stated previously) Bill and matt should ever be considered to return from that season.
