I'm happy as hell for him! I've been a long time fan and knew he had another side to his personality that could have been very successful (see some of his indy YouTube videos with Colt or AJ). At least in my own mind, lol. The fact this kind of shtick is actually cathing on on TV wrestling shows is awesome because I only expect that sort of thing at indy shows in random places. I'm happy others love it too which is helping him become what I think he should have always been.
Gangnam Daniels Style!

If anybody deserves the title it's him. The guy help build TNA from the begining. As good Hardy been since returning from his disaster. I give him credit that his ME have been good. But daniels deserves a "Thank You" run. Will it happened? Likely not because regardless of anything Hardy done in the pass. Dixie still has this love for the guy.

I recall Hogan tweeting good things about CD, but my fear is that TNA simply use his title shot as a way to hotshot the return of AJ Styles, with Styles coming out to make the save for Hardy, ultimately leading to Hardy granting Styles a title shot as reward.
That said, I'd be up for a swerve on this - Styles comes back to assist Hardy, but fluffs it and actually gains Daniels the win. Just have to wait and see.

A couple of points:
1. I don't like the idea that somebody should be given a World Title run for any reason other than "this person is World Title material, we have feuds lined up, and he can put on great matches". Longevity, steady service, those kinds of things are great, but in my opinion they don't entitle anybody to a World Championship run. Even getting over doesn't necessitate a major title reign.
Note, however, that I don't include Christopher Daniels in that: I find him totally deserving. I remember hoping he'd become ROH World Champion way back in the day, and thinking he could've easily been TNA Champion the moment that Triple X broke up in 2004.
I'm just making the overall point that I feel we, as modern fans, sometimes get too into the idea of guys getting "turns" with major belts, when they should probably be set aside for a select few.
2. I think it's abundantly clear that TNA has big ideas for Daniels, clearly having taken note of how he and Kazarian saved the ridiculous Claire angle.
They've given him new music, a new ring outfit, plenty of mic time, victories over AJ Styles (clean!) and James Storm, and any time Bad Influence has a tag match in which they lose, it's Kaz who's taking the fall. Hell, they've even now written in that Kaz has a manager's license; makes it clear to me they're making sure they can still give him TV time during a Daniels singles run, and don't have to shoehorn in a team split (thank God).
Does this mean Daniels will win the title on the 24th? I don't necessarily think so, but I think he's clearly going into the main event, and I could easily see him winning the big gold some time either before or at Lockdown.
Lockdown might actually be perfect: if there was ever a candidate for a World Title victory that involved winning by lucky/sneaky means, and then crowing as if he's the best ever, it'd be Daniels.

I think Daniels has been perfectly set up for a run with the belt and I would welcome it wholeheartedly, he is a deserving contender and would be a deserving champion.
I think we'll get another AJ/Daniels match out of it if he does get a run with AJ winning the BFG series to not only get a shot at the title but to prove himself as the better man against Daniels. Many people won't want that and complain but AJ and Daniels always have great matches and from a story telling standpoint it is perfect. Both guys would be elevated from something like that and for two more TNA originals making it to the pinnacle like that and be solidified as real big stars is nothing but a good thing.

Just for some perspective, the last time an Impact world title shot was on the line at a PPV, Anderson won it, and then proceeded to tap out clean to Bobby Roode on Impact. Daniels losing to Hardy and then TNA moving on like it never happened is highly possible, although Daniels has been money lately, so I hope at the very least he is kept at the top of the card.
