When I heard Dolph come dangerously to stealing the catchphrase of "The Cerebral Game King of THIS BUSINESS", I think it was subtly planting the seeds for a WrestleMania moment of epic proportions.

My initial knee jerk reaction was, pha-shaw, he wouldn't put himself over Dolph. That would damage a potentially big, money making, young talent for them.
Then I remembered Punk.
...
Yeah. Nevermind, I hope Brock or Rock or somebody keeps Hunter's attention.

Though at least Cena's a fully active competitor, who is arguably the top dog of the entire company and has been for years. Even if he had a s*** year. Whereas Triple H is a barely active suit, who is way pass his prime and being held together by rubber bands & tooth picks. It's the difference between barely any upside, Cena, and no upside at all, HHH.

Because Cena, for the most part is not burying him on the mic (the one promo at new years raw is not Hunter level of burying). If Cena called Dolph uncoordinated or said dolph has a terrible moveset, then that's Hunter level of burial.

It will actually be a gauntlet match. He beats Ziggler in 5 seconds, then has a 47 minute classic with a broomstick that Meltzer gives 7 stars. Broomstick goes over and the torch is passed.

The other half are mad because of the rumours that broomstick is only in his spot because he works out with Trips.

Because of the backlash, management tries to shove him down the fans' throats to get them to accept him. After that fails, they quickly depush him, at which point he actually develops a decent character and becomes something of a solid hand in the ring. With the IWC lamenting over why he couldn't have been like this when he got his mega push.

I think the haircut signified HHH's retirement.

He's released shortly after and debuts in TNA as "Floor Brush", member of Aces and Eights.

Think of it this way. How old was Vince in the attitude era, when he had his first string of matches with Austin and then later on several other people? He, mere months ago, just had another match on top of all that. Triple H is going to be the next generation's Vince McMahon. He probably won't 'retire' until he's 60...it's too tempting, and you KNOW there's going to be a young star vs administration storyline someday, with him being the head honcho.

Daniels is on an oxygen tank, AJ's in a wheelchair and Joe needs a sponge on a stick to clean himself. Not like they've got alot of options to program him in with.
