I'm already seeing stores either closing down or really dwindling down on inventory.
Most good deals I'm seeing are from collector to collector these days and even then it's usually just trading.
I liken this wave of popularity similar to how comics were in the 90s.... where they were all the rage for a bit, then suddenly... nothing. The people who always liked them stuck with it, but the ones who just wanted to make a quick buck all left...

I can only hope prices do come down at some point.
Today while shopping for games, I saw Super Mario RPG...for $49.99. If I had a lot of wiggle room with the money I have, then it wouldn't really be that bad. But since I'm broke, I had to pass on it...heartbreaking as it was.

Most mainstream vintage games can still be bought for under $25. Wait around if you want, but time to me is more valuable than a few bucks. I know people who rather save $10 on something they won't find again for years. It's all about finding that elusive deal I guess.

While not a rare game, it has never been cheap. The absolute lowest price I saw in stores was $20 and that was back in 1998. Used at Blockbuster Video.

With the sad passing of Rik Mayall I figured I now have an excuse to post these commercials he did for Nintendo during 90s

I haven't bought a lot of games recently.
Instead I've been going back and beating more games I own already.
After beating the Joker on Batman...as well as finally FINALLY beating Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles...I can say that most games now seem a little easy.

Found Herc's Adventures for the PS1 today for only 2.99 The game is one of the rarer on the console, and is usually sold online for around 50-80 bucks.

two more Ps1 finds. X-Men Mutant Academy and Strider 2. Strider 2 cost me 51 bucks, but comes with both Strider 2, and the original arcade Strider. Though for some stupid reason, Capcom mislabeled the discs. Strider 1 plays on the Strider 2 disc and vice versa.

Been playing through Phantasy Star IV again for the Genesis, as I do every few years, and actually knowing what the buffs do is pretty damn helpful. It also meant I blasted through Zio without him using the Black Energy Wave even once, and I got lucky, with him wasting a few turns with Hewn. Didn't even have to revive anyone.
