To the best of my knowledge, there has never been an openly gay wrestler (IRL) in the WWF/WWE. Guys like Kanyon and Orlando Jordan only came out after their stints in the 'E. Out of curiousity, which Superstars strike you as possibly being gay? Also, when do you think that WWE will have its first openly gay superstar; in what light will he or she be cast? This post is not meant to be inflammatory. I apologize if it is percieved as being mean-spirited or intolerant. Why do you care? And what exactly might tip us off that a wrestler may "possibly be gay"? Can you please describe to me the signs so I can accurately speculate on this senseless, inane question? Do you think sports fans sit around gossiping about the potential sexual preferences of their favorite players? What a dumb idea for a thread. Grow up.

Watchoo talkin' 'bout, Willis? He plays for Arizona! HA! That's Randall Gay in my pic. Seeing as how William Gay has only played for Pittsburgh and Arizona...I didn't think it was the same Gay. I think the fact is, there's a lot of Gays in sports these days. So very many Gays.

That's a bit of an over the top reaction to a seemingly innocent topic.

Serious question: Would a career in pro wrestling be more likely to attract or detract homosexual males? I can see arguments going both ways (no pun intended).

There's a footballer who plays for Everton called Gueye which is pronunced the same as gay. There's also Darren Bent and Lars and Sven Bender over in Germany. I'm immature.

Do you think sports fans sit around gossiping about the potential sexual preferences of their favorite players? What a dumb idea for a thread. Grow up. I can appreciate the angle you're coming from (I'm bisexual so I'm used to some wrestling fans being dicks) but Dingus honestly seemed to just be asking out of interest, not as a means to insult anyone who may or may not be homosexual. Look at it this way, if we found out _______ was gay via this thread (by quoting an interview or something we'd never heard of) it'd be a positive for the sport. Then less people may be worried about it impacting their careers if they admitted it etcetera. With that being said, if anyone thinks camp = gay then it doesn't. You can be extremely camp and be any sexuality. But yeah, I think this is an innocent inquiry thread and it hasn't turned into a slur on any one's lifestyle, so may be worth just stepping out of it and collecting yourself. I don't mean that in a condescending or passive aggressive way either, just think you may be throwing accusations at Dingus when he was just asking something with no intention of insulting anyone with the information given.

The thing about Rico is/was if you looked at his work history before WWE, the dude was honestly one of the most manliest men ever. And wasn't Sylvan dating Patterson or something?

He isn't in WWE but AR Fox was in a gay porn, I don't know if he is gay or not though, he could have just done it for the money.

Wasn't Orlando Jordan the first bisexual Superstar that the WWE has ever had? Or is it someone else?
Off topic: Is it actually true that pro-wrestling is usually more homophobic than other "athletic endeavours"?

Off topic: Is it actually true that pro-wrestling is usually more homophobic than other "athletic endeavours"? Without delving into politics, remember one of the arguments against gays in the military? About how the soldiers would be uncomfortable taking showers and bunking with gays? Now imagine, on top of sharing a locker room, that your profession is grappling half-naked and covered in body oil. Now imagine that your profession is already maligned as "homo-erotic" as is. I have no doubt that there are those in pro wrestling that would be more than put off about wrestling with someone who's gay.

Didn't Orlando get the boot for being on the road with a 13 year old boy? You know, making him a peadophile? This seems to get overlooked a lot. He was fired for bringing someone on the road with him who wasn't authorized by WWE, but when was it ever proven that the person was 1. a minor and 2. he was sleeping with the minor? That's the story that went aound at the time. He got fired for bringing a mate on the road? Not buying it myself, there had to be something more to it. Searching online I found this as it goes: officialfan.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=wresarchives&action=print&thread=35689
