As I was asking about a job.
Me "I see you are hiring new meat cutters" Manager "Are you interested in the position?" Me: "Yes very interested" Manager: "Where did you go to school?" Me: (named my high school) Manager: "No, where did you learn to cut meat?" Me: "I haven't, but I'm a quick learner and always willing to add another skill to my belt" Manager "Sorry, you have to have gone to school to properly cut meat"
So technically, I never even passed in an application before I was rejected.

I have. It's a real spirit breaker having to go through all those bull**** assessment questions and spending all that time on that application just to get told "no" that fast. Waste of time... THIS. Yep. Borderline soul crushing. The fastest I've had an application rejected was when I applied to be a produce manager at a local grocery store. I had just graduated from college and wanted a steady job until I could find something better. I filled out the application, handed to the manager, and he told me to hold on while he looked over it. He came back and told me I was 'overqualified' and they couldn't hire me. About 70% of the jobs I've applied to since have said the same thing. I've replied and told them to pretend like I didn't go to college, but they don't want to do that apparently.

anytime someone writes "110" on your resume when you hand it in, you're getting rejected.
