I agree with your point about the "PUSH NEW STARS" deal. It's the same reason why people insist that this year's WM is gonna do badly. From a pure business perspective, it's a fairly smart card. But, because they personally don't want to watch the show and feel that it's "predictable", they have to validate their opinion as fact by making claims like that. A "fairly smart" card isn't going to break records. There is a huge difference between doing 900k-1mm buys and 1.2-1.3mm buys. Those extra 300,000 buys are going to come from people who want to see something unique. They won't get nearly as many of those casual fans this year because they saw that match.

I really don't think your ADR/Sheamus example works all that well, though I agree with the sentiment.
Sheamus was already a two time WWE Champ and was/is essentially John Cena-lite. He makes the same horrible jokes and is a boring invincible hero. His feud with ADR was hated because it dragged on for months and months with nothing changing. It felt like a massive time waster.
Meanwhile, Bryan (who was still very over at the time, both with the board and with fans) was pushed down the card. Of course people are going to be upset when they see what's happened to him and then look at the Sheamus/ADR feud.
As for the whole "push new stars" thing.......its a difficult situation. For example, I don't like Bo Dallas. He may be a very serviceable midcard guy down the road but he just doesn't have anything that makes me what to be invested in him. I'd much rather have the WWE push someone like Kassius Ohno, Cody Rhodes or even Tyson Kid. It just seems like there are guys that are much more deserving of a push that Bo.

I really can't take the "best for the business" argument seriously. I really don't think half the people who make it really give a crap about what's best for business, they're just using it to try to add weight to not being happy at an angle or a match or so forth. It's fine if you don't like what they're doing, but just say that, rather than trying to make it sound like your preferences are the only way to lead to a new boom period and by not giving a title to wrestler X was a horrible decision because it will cost them money.
I really doubt anyone not in the WWE is so in tune with WWE financials to really be able to have actual commentary about it.

I'm more annoyed by the constant over-use of terms like "buried" and "jobbed" myself. True burials hardly ever happen, and jobbing, while being used in the correct definitive sense, usually implies something worse than what actually happens, like an extremely short match where the loser gets no offence in instead of a hard-fought even-sided 10-15 minute match.
Also, "jobber entrance". That needs to be re-named more than anything, because just about everyone gets them. Hell, even Vince gets them occasionally.

How about people like what they want to like and we leave it at that? Threads like this are completely redundant. Why does people having problems with the product bother you that much? Just enjoy what you like and stop worrying because "some guy on the internet doesn't like this thing I like."

I'm fine with negativity as long as the negativity is brought about by a logical argument, not complaining with reasoning that doesn't make any sense.

Just let them complain in any way they please, it makes literally no difference.
