Scott Steiner: the insane, rambling, genetic freak with a short temper, is IRL a well-spoken man from a highly-educated university who has to dumb himself down for the benefit of the audience. Am I doing it right? I do feel at least some of Steiner is an act. I mean, dude's gotta realise how funny all his "HEH"-ing etc is, right? Also, I'd say Cesaro ATM. He's an Anti-American, Pro-America heel who hates everyone, but seems to be one of the nicest guys IRL.

Was I the only one who read this thread as "polar opposites of JBL" ? Nope. I had to do a double-take myself. This isn't quite what the OP had in mind, but Flair and Steamboat are polar opposites in terms of their lifestyles, but they worked like magic together in the ring.

On-screen, Bo Dallas always smiles and signs autographs and takes pics with the fans. IRL, he runs a child trafficking ring out in Madagascar and spits on old people.

Didn't Alberto Del Rio once say that he based his heel mannerisms on someone from his family he really doesn't like? Mil Mascaras? if one were to read between the lines, one would come to that conclusion

Even in the old AWA, Heenan can tell you the heels were all the soft-spoken college-educated men in real life

It seems like I once read that Del Rio's character was a combination of all the people he didn't like in real life. Sin Cara and Miz? Del Rio hasn't pulled a gun out so not Sin Cara

He has a promo in a Botchamania that he gives in Germany, and everyone was posting about how funny and stupid he sounded - but Steiner was using German profanity in the promo. I don't think he'd be bothering to take the time to insult the locals in their mother tongue if he was just a crazy rambling loon.

Hogan. From eveything I've read and heard, I'd rather pee in his cornflakes than wish him good morning.

In the two interviews I've seen of him he comes across as a pretty normal guy, and according to various wrestlers he's pretty quiet, private and reserved. Though Petey Williams' Cracker Barrel story suggests there is a little bit of Big Poppa Pump in the 'real' Scott.

Hornswoggle in real life is rumored to be seven feet tall, weighs 450 pounds, and can speak perfect English. At least one of these rumors is apparently factual.

I was reading about how when Vader broke a wrestlers back via a powerbomb, Vader was terribly shaken from the incident, crying and apologizing profusely.
