Liked the second episode a lot more than the first!
The scene with Cat talking about Jon Snow was strange and unnecessary I thought, but the rest was great.
Loved Diana Rigg as Olenna, loved the introduction of the Reeds and I adore everything with Jaime and Brienne. The scene with Margery playing Joffrey was fantastic too.
Poor Theon though! I don't know if I want to see what happens to him...

Excellent episode.
Some great scenes and the new characters are all perfect, esp. The Queen of Thorns (although I have to admit Thoros isnt what I imagined).
Interesting development with Joffrey. I did think for a bit they were hinting that he was gay, but then they just made him get turned on by killing. Jack Gleeson plays that role so well.
Theon get tortured was some great sequences as well and I'm glad to see The Hound back. Jaime is a magnificent bastard.
I still HATE Sam with a passion. Such a loser.

yeah as a guy who likes Sam I just wanted to kick him in the pills during that scene. I'm kinda tired of his blubbering. there are times when it works but this wasn't one of them.
I'm predicting Theon's torture is going to be this season's "Robert's Bastards Massacre" in terms of being disturbing to watch.
best scenes were Grandma Tyrell (such a great character, glad to see she hasn't changed at all from the book)and Kingslayer finally getting a change to show off his sword skill.

Great episode. Though I'm sad Butterbumps didn't make an appearance.
And as usual the writers do well eith a scene not from the books. This one being the Margaery/Joffery scene.

That scene has left me a bit confused though. I get that they still want us to see Joff as a bit of a death freak who gets off on pain etc. but between his awkwardness around her and his weirdness to talk about her with Cersei earlier.....I still cant quite decide if they were trying to play up his age and how he's really just an inexperienced little kid (his repetition of 'I'm the King' reinforcing how he's even got to convince himself) or if they are trying to throw sexual confusion in there (the interest in knowing the details of Renly, his reluctance to touch her, the over compensation in wanting to ban bumming), of if this is a bit of both. Joff isnt as fleshed out in the books, so it's an open playing field for the show makers and it's certainly got me even more hopelessly hooked.

Joff isnt as fleshed out in the books, so it's an open playing field for the show makers and it's certainly got me even more hopelessly hooked. I think Joffrey is uninterested in any type of sex. He's sadistic, but I don't think it's sexual in nature. I just think he likes the fact that he has the power to do whatecer he wants, whether it be torture or ordering Ned's execution. But what I liked most about the scene was the way Margaery handled him. Joff, at least to me, seems put off by Margaery's way with the commoners and her almost overt sexualness. He has no idea how to deal with her, while at the same time she seems to read him like a book. Telling him tales of Renly's "unmanliness" and always making him feel in control. When really she has him wrapped around her finger.

Theon's torture was pretty sick. And an interesting development with the Hound clocking Arya. Love to see how Jaime gets out of this particular pickle.

Also fun to see Gareth from The Office on the show, after seeing Finchy last season.

When you make a promise to the seven gods, next time don't welch Mrs. Stark.
After Tywin's tirade last episode I'm surprised Tyrion let Shae stay on as Sansa's handmaid. Maybe sticking near Sansa's new quasi-feminist friends can earn them both longterm protection, hopefully. I always love rooting for the underdogs!

Great episode tonight. The Tyrion scenes were gold! Especially the ones involving Pod. At the same time this was kind of a disturbing episode what with all the near rapes, and at first I thought Jaime would get his eye cut, but then *whack* off goes his hand!

so episode 3 is in the bag; here's my thoughts- this one's for the book readers, that kid helping Theon escape {Spoiler}{Spoiler}is most definitely Ramsay Snow, whose just toying with him. that guy calling him a "bastard" cemented it. Tyrion Lannister; greatest boss ever. also, considering the gruesome tone of the ending, what the hell was with that music at the end? I know the song was about a bear, and I know what that's alluding to, but good god what the hell? final musings; nice to FINALLY see the Blackfish and Eddmure, and Kraznyz continues to be the most unlikeable jackass on the show not named Joffrey {Spoiler}{Spoiler}I know full well what's coming and MAN is it going to be satisfying.

Well, it's pretty safe to say the Kingslayer won't be doing any slaying of Kings anytime soon, what with his hand missing.
Also Baldobomb-McLargeHuge, when you say Tyrion Lannister being the greatest boss ever, do you mean Tywin, the father of all the Lannisters or the little person also known as the Imp. Because while Tywin is the actual puppet master, I could see Tyrion being a boss of a few people.
Oh and Kraynys is so going to get his. Try insulting a queen of dragons in a foreign language, will ya?

The funny thing is while I was watching the final scene my mom said, "I wonder when he'll lose his hand." and not a full second later he lost it.

Another bad thing for Jamie is that he can't use his two-handed Skyrim weapons anymore.
