somewhere Teddy long is doing the Teddy dance at the thought of being able to tell Booker T that he can start sending people to go "One on one wit da Undahtakah playa!" if they give him any attitude. You forgot the "holla holla"ing part.

.....hey, what if he wrestled last night, then afterwards in the back while he was untaping his fists he said, "Eh, I'm not feelin' it" and disappeared for another year?

Bit naughty. I say that because I saw that video posted before the FanNation one, on a fan's channel. Seems they've nicked the video, flagged it for copyright and posted it themselves. There are multiple copies of that video now, but the solitary one I saw earlier is gone.

WOW! He does look really old. Though this was a very smart move by WWE to get all the sites talking about Taker's return, then Ronda Rousey fight/win.
Also still hoping he saves Vince from Brock and we get a Triple Threat for the title.

Are people expecting him to look young or something? As long as he can still put on a great match, he could look like Christopher Lee for all I care.

They've got a lot of guys that can have matches that get lots of stars. Stars don't mean anything when you've watched these guys wrestle for 36 years. And who cares what Taker looks like? That character has always been all about the look. Not that he didn't back it up, but the look was what made it. He's still got the entrance, but again...watched him for 48 years, seen it. I'm still done with Taker. They don't have many who can put up those kind of matches and who are also draws, if they did they wouldn't use so many part timers. Also Taker's look has always been evolving since the time he first started doing the gimmick so I find it comical someone could be upset with this. Yes yes he draws, I'm not denying that at all. I'm merely stating that as a fan, I am tired of Undertaker. Are you trying to prove me wrong or something?

But while his past few matches have been classics, I'm tired of him to. Every year its kind of the same thing over and over and every year he looks worse and worse. I will always mark when he shows up, but its depressing to see him now.

So basically the possible opponents for Taker are: CM Punk Brock Lesnar 3 man tag against the Shield
Punk could add some great promos and awesome build towards that match. Plus you know that in Taker's condition that Punk could bump around and help carry Taker towards an epic match.
A Lesnar matchup adds some real heat in the feud with their staredown at a UFC event. Given Brock's physical style and Taker's condition it might not be good for Taker's well being, however a brawl style match could mask Taker's inability to run around the ropes.
A match against the Shield could protect the Undertaker from having to work a match by himself. The Shield is certainly an up and coming group, but it's not necessarily a "high profile" match that is suited for Taker at Wrestlemania. It does give the Shield a nice rub, and at this point the WWE has thrown their top stars against them in only 2 matches, so really who else other than Taker could help take them down?
All have compelling stories, but with the Rock/Cena match lacking buzz i could see Punk getting thrown in the mix for that match. Plus with a lack of anticipation for a Lesnar/Triple H rematch, i think that Taker/Lesnar would make for a more intruiging matchup.

The responses in this thread are making it seem like he's a crippled aged hobo or something. He didn't look that bad, and hey the bold looked worked in Breaking Bad so maybe it could work for Taker?
I'll agree he could do with an attire change up top to cover his gut, but hey that can be worked on.
I'll stay optimistic as the body of work this man has produced at Wrestlemania over the last 6 years has been staggering.

All the dirtsheets were reporting that he might not work Mania this year because of him being so banged up, but they've been saying that for the last 10 years or so. True or not, who knows. Last year was the first time that i really remember him being out of shape physically with the gut. I think that Taker will do whatever it takes to put on a good match at Mania regardless of his well being. I only see this year and Wrestlemania XXX being his last matches. He probably should have retired a year ago, but i think that the 20-0 benchmark is something that him and the WWE wanted and him being able to work WM XXX, being seen as a big Mania event, prolonged his career by a couple of years.

Taker doesn't look great, but he also hasn't been able to work out because of his shoulder and hip issues.
But in one of the pics I saw he did the Old School. That tells me a lot.
He has 6 weeks to get himself in shape for mania, I think he can do it.
He'll either solo against Punk or do a six-man against Shield.

Don't they sort of trap themselves. I know this is being seen as him "testing the water." But can you bring him in then just have him vanish?

Nothing outside of Raw really happens happens. I'm sorry Smackdown, we'll always have that time Edge and Christian reunited and when Laycool impersonated the Hart Foundation.

This is true, but it seems they have been basically advertising. But I guess if it doesn't get mentioned on Raw then it isn't really canon.
