Didn't Zandig basically ruined the Big Japan relationship by himself? As far as the ultra violence goes, I'm kinda glad that they're toning it down, so when they do it, it is more special. I'm kinda curious about the field they use for Tournament of Death, it looks awesome it gives the vibe that anything goes there are no rules, what we're doing is illegal. I like DJ's work so far, he calls his version of czw the buffet table of wrestling, there's a little bit of different things for everybody. Yep, I think Mondo goes into it in his shoot interview, but DJ and Masada both say that it took Masada over a year to convince Big Japan to even talk to DJ. Zandig did a lot of good as an owner, but basically from 2006 until he sold the company to DJ it was basically a burden for him to run CZW. Some due to personal stuff (his business failing, one of his kids dying) some him just not being easy to work with (the Matt Burns situation, CHIKARA situation... though that's on Quack as well, the ROH situation, really convincing any credible indy guy to work with Justice Pain). Those who complain about missing Zandig in terms of workers are guys who can't just get whatever they want from DJ while Zandig would cave to them. DJ has his boys/girls but he won't bring anybody into CZW and/or keep them if the locker room doesn't like them (see Shane Hollister/Scarlett Bordeaux... and the Osirian Portal to an extent) Zandig had guys that he would defend to the death even if they were completely in the wrong in an issue. Can you elaborate on Hollister / Scarlett / Portal? I remember Hollister leaving but the reasons given were pretty vague

I don't know the details. DJ wouldn't say much about Hollister other than he messed up and he knows what he did was wrong. With Scarlett, DJ got along with her fine but in her short time in CZW she caused a lot of drama with other people in the locker room so DJ stopped booking her.
The Portal is another issue all together as they had heat with guys in the locker room and with DJ (he was actually their original trainer). It was strong enough heat with the Locker Room that DJ had to sit everybody down at the CZW Academy and have a sit down. I think the heat for the most part has died down, only reason the Portal hasn't been back is because of injuries and other commitments. I know Amasis at least has wrestled at a Dojo War or two and Ophidian does some promo work for CZW.
Long story short on most heat can probably be brought back to Quack as he and DJ just started getting along in the last year.

Messiah's off the show tonight. Gulak has stated he's found another CZW legend who will slot into that place in the eight man.

Well that's a bummer as I think most fans were stoked for him the most (or 2nd as people are excited just to hear Teenage Dirt bag play again) I'm gonna take a wild guess and just say the new guy is Sonjay

Results from DWTS
Quefka the Quiet beats Jack Kahana with a running STO. This was a Dojo Wars showcase.
Joe Gacy beats Papadon via DQ when Papadon refuses to stop attacking Gacy. Actually comes off better than it sounds.
BUT JEEZ beats Pepper Parks with the Liontamer
Team Tremendous beat Buxx Bummer and Mike Bailey with an Assisted Slice Bread Number 2. Great match that saw the Canadians do a Codebreaker/Shooting Star Press combo.
Alexander James beats Preacher James (Dojo Wars guy) after his security attacks the Preacher when the ref's back is turned
DJ Hyde beats Kimber Lee by dq when Chris Dickenson makes his return and attacks DJ. Dickenson promises to make DJ's life a living hell and says that he is CZW. HUGE pop for Dickenson returning.
Drew Gulak, Adam Flash, Nate Webb, and Ruckus beat The Front (Sozio, Biff Busick, Eric Corvis, and Andy Somers) when Gulak hits Busick with a piledriver. Busick and Sozio start to argue after the match (only a matter of time before that happened) while Gulak and the CZW legends breakdance.
Homicide beats Joker with the Yakuza Boot. Joker kicked out of a Cop Killer early in the match.
Shane Strickland finally turns heel saying he doesn't care about the fans and he is taking the night off. Devon Moore comes out and says how disappointed he is demanding a title show. Strickland refuses and leaves.
Matt Tremont beats Lucky 13 with a running powerbomb into thumb tacks. After match Devon Moore challenges Tremont to the Tangled Webb match.
The Juicy Product retain their tag titles in the Chris Cash Memorial Ladder match against OK and The Beaver Boys. Really Entertaining Ladder Match.
Show was much better than Heat was. Worth checking out for sure.

Just to make a correction the one member of the Front was in fact Andy Sumner, Drew Gulak's old tag partner from Team AnDrew.
Also just taking a wild guess but CoD IMO will probably be Gulak, Dickenson, and a face Biff Busick (maybe Kimber Lee as well) against DJ, Sozio, and whoever they decide to put in the Front that week.

Matt Tremont vs Devon Moore in the Tangled Web confirmed. My guess is you'll see Devon do something stupid like a shooting star press onto Tremont while he's in the web.

Ricochet is out of the Deja Vu main event for the CZW World Title, as he's now signed to Lucha Underground, and they require him for September 27th. CZW will announce a new challenger for Biff Busick in the next few days. DJ must seriously be ready to kill somebody. He's had to change 4 matches now during Biff's reign... 1. The night he won the title due to Masada not being able to appear 2 due to Joker being Joker (Though both the Mike Bailey and Jake Crist matches were good) Now you have Ricochet being pulled. Since the next show is in Ohio I could see them just giving Ron Mathis the title shot. In other news, Trevor Lee will be making his CZW debut at Tangled Web. Lee is a guy DJ has had his eye on for awhile and his profile got a bit bigger with a great showing at BOLA for PWG.

Drew Gulak will get his rematch against Biff Busick in Dayton.
And... I can't believe I'm going to write this... The Number One Contender for the CZW World Title Sozio will fight Caleb Konley. ...
....
Now while Niles has been entertaining in his role... that name should never be said as number one contender for any title. ...
I'm praying they don't actually give him the title but it seems like Biff turning face is inevitable. So Biff, Gulak, and Dickenson seems like 1 teem for Cage of Death

If Niles can go back to 2006 and stay there that'd be great.
