That time I posted this epic long thought out idea for the Undertaker's Wrestlemania 28 opponent to be Chuck Palumbo. I mean, they didn't do the idea, but I'm pretty sure someone from WWE read it because a couple days later Jamie Noble came to my house and beat me mercilessly with a bike chain.

I'm sure boards are monitored and all that. But to be fair, a lot of what's been said could just as easily be construed as correctly predicting what they were going to do anyway.
For just one example, putting "FEED ME MORE" at the start of Ryback's music. WWE have a history of putting a guys catchphrase at the start of his music, hell there was a period where nearly every god damn person on the roster had a catchphrase at the start of their music. Add to that that they were already trying to drive it home as a catchphrase and it was sort of a foregone conclusion.
I will say that there's definitely been stuff on wwe.com that borrowed liberally from wrestlecrap.com

I wish someone would've stolen my idea of Swagger ending the Streak.
Or Kane trying to kill Miz and Alex Riley every week because he "liked them better when they hated each other".

Ron Simmons and his random 'Damn' moments are the creation of Woo's the Boss. No one can convince me otherwise and woos the boss stole it from me and my brother -_- Despite me never posting about it Or you know being the logical extension from him only ever really saying "Damn" ... but I like my idea involving psychic powers better...

Just for my own sanity, can I confirm we're not actually seriously suggesting WWE scour this message board for ideas? We're not really saying that are we?

Guys.
Be cool.
I am pretty certain nobody actually believes that the WWE has stolen ideas from this board.
It is just fun to imagine.
Jeeeez.

I'm throwing it out there that Cena should start doing a spinning toehold, so if he breaks that out any time soon we'll know for sure.

This board invented wrestling. .... So what was the board about before it invented wrestling? Riffing on world events? "I've heard such awesome things about this Winston Churchill fellow. I haven't seen much out of him since he became prime minister though and I didn't follow his work in the admiralty"

this segment here with The Bellas, D-Bry, and Gail was bought up a few days before it aired. The exact scene was written in a thread, I mean that cannot be a a coincidence www.youtube.com/watch?v=fDH9gq4_V8U

I preferred the world when dinosaurs were in the main event.

Cena mentioning the 5 moves of doom & how everyone wants him to turn heel But everybody has been saying 5 moves of doom since 2004. I have friends who never been on a wrestling forum saying 5 moves of doom since 2004. Go to any wrestling video on YouTube and watch how the top comment is something anti Cena and his stupid five moves of doom

I think that I read it in an old Apter mag at some point.

I'd like to think WWE were acknowledging me when they put Miz & Riley together on WWE Inbox.

If they were actually stealing ideas -- and I'm not saying they are, I wish they'd steal my idea of using the Spinal Tap drummer bit for 3MB. Jobbers or not it would still be cool. Sure some (ok, most) people might not understand the reference but seeing as they seem to not be doing anything with them, why not? When I heard Cole or someone like that, mention they were looking for a drummer, I thought it might actually have come up. There was Spinal Tap reference somewhere around that time too. I can't remember who it was though. Probably JBL or Lawler.

Could WWE officials have taken ideas from here? Sure.
Could this be the ONLY place they get ideas? Not at all.
On that note, it's just as likely that so-called memes here were derived or outright copied from memes elsewhere.
Hell, one of our mods first observed Punk's reference in 2011 to his ROH Summer of Punk. Someone then posted the observation on another message board, only for another one of our members to post here that he saw the story elsewhere.
