Eh New Mexico seems to be a pretty popular pick for the final 4.

(1) Louisville over (2) Ohio State (although, the way Craft will mess up Peyton Siva gave me pause) (1) Indiana over (2) Georgetown
(1) Louisville over (1) Indiana

Jay Bilas continues his usual crying over who got snubbed He claims teams like Maryland and UVA get snubbed because they play in a better conference, and are therefore punished. Nevermind the fact that Maryland's OOC schedule was horrible. Morehead State, LIU Brooklyn, Lafayette, Georgia Southern, Northwestern, MD Eastern Shore, Monmouth, Stony Brook, IUPUI. Terrible. Then on top of that, Maryland loses to: Florida State TWICE Boston College Georgia Tech Besides the usual losses to Duke and UNC. ACC was a down conference all year. I don't get it. Exactly, I'm a Terps fan but if we can't beat FSU, GT, and BC, we don't belong. 3 great wins are negated by 4 bad losses in my book and if Virginia or Kentucky didn't get it, we certainly shouldn't either. Looking forward to the NIT with the ultimate goal of a rematch and victory over Kentucky in the championship at MSG.

BTW, it may not be a bad sign Barkley calls the Big 10 overrated.
He called the Big East overrated in 2011- UConn won it all.
Maybe lightning strikes twice and someone from there proves him wrong.

Since Rupp is hosting the NCAA's this weekend, Kentucky has to travel to their NIT first-round opponent. That lucky team is Robert Morris. After winning the title last year in the Super Dome in front of 70,000 people, they will play in Robert Morris' 3,000-seat Sewall Center which has a 200-meter indoor track and hosts various trade shows over the summer.

Kentucky fans are kind of being bitches about this. Don't get me wrong, I'm as pissed as anyone that UK couldn't even make the friggin' field. That's a horrible disappointment for sure. But at some point you just have to take a deep breath and embrace this for what it is. It's hilarious and absurd that UK is about to travel to a gym that holds about 1/6 the amount of fans Kentucky tends to drag along with them to neutral site games across the country. That arena is going to be a circus. Biggest opponent to ever play there, more than likely. It should be a fun show if nothing else. No use being miserable about it.

Ohio State and Wisconsin was a terribly uninteresting game today.
The prospect of a 4th go-around between them in the WEST region? Ugh.
Nothing against the Buckeyes, but hopefully Ole Miss or K-State will dispose of Wisky.

I look forward to watching New Mexico blow up in everyone's face just as Florida St. did last season... That's me with Ole Miss. Watch Marshall Henderson play one game. Wisconsin is going to make him so frustrated slowing this game down and forcing a deliberate pace that by the time it's over he will be forcing and chucking up contested 30 footers. He has no basketball IQ and no patience. He's a loose cannon. He'll go 6-23, chuck up 12 threes and miss 10 of them, and Wisconsin will win by a dozen or more.

Ya know, this season I think stands out to me for one thing. Stats don't mean shit, rankings don't mean shit, wins and losses don't mean shit. This season it's been effort over talent, drive over numbers, and which team wants it more.
That's the way I'm looking at this tournament, I've seen at least every top 6 seed play at least 1 game this season and have trolled through box scores all year long. It's the things you can't find in there that matter this season. It's what makes this tournament great and I have a feeling this may be the best tournament ever.

Trust me, when Bo Ryan is in the tourney, he can make a lot of teams look good (see Cornell a few years ago, UNLV 2007). He's on my short list of 'Coaches you'd bet your life saving on to choke before the round of 8' list.

No idea what to make of Michigan. Capable of losing to South Dakota State or shooting the lights out against Kansas.
They could, literally, go deep or go home early. Just like last year.

Wisconsin has good players but as a whole the team has been incredibly inconsistent. That's why I think that they're one and done thanks to Mississippi.
