Anyone remember when JR was fired in 2005? Linda comes out, turns heel by kicking JR in the groin, and hugs her family over him. How come nothing came from that? All I remember afterwards is Mick Foley asking for JR to be brought back and Linda saying something on the tron, but nothing else.

She was a heel for a little bit after that, including at WrestleMania 22 when the McMahon family prayed together.
The McMahons usually switch from face to heel or vice versa without any explanation.

Linda being awful probably meant they didn't want to do much with her.
I think she was backstage at WM 22 in a family segment as a heel, but by the next time she showed up she was back to Linda v.1.

She was way too beloved by the crowd to ever stay a heel for long.

I think it was just meant to be one of those Raw "Moments" that they would replay on anniversary shows and shit in the years to come. Like, the audience was supposed to be shocked because Linda was the only McMahon who had never turned heel up to that point. Problem is it was Linda, so nobody really gave a shit.
I doubt it was ever intended to be a recurring thing though. There's a reason they always used her sparingly over the years. Linda couldn't even play herself convincingly, never mind any kind of role that actually required her to "act."

Remember when Linda went from comatose to slightly less comatose at WM17?

Yeah, no offense to Linda, but there is no way she should be acting (or selling a Stunner, for that matter)

Because for all the grief Dixie Carter gets about being an emotionless automaton, she's got nothing on the LindaBot.

I think it was amazing that Linda was able to break the first law of robotics. If she can survive a paradox she would be unstoppable.

Even the low blow, looked like something from a 1950's science fiction movie.

Remember when Linda went from comatose to slightly less comatose at WM17? remember when Undertaker was going to disembowel CM Punk in front of a live audience and then he didn't?

It didn't help her politically when that clip of her kicking JR in balls came out.
