Did he say I can see you London, during the performance. I'm sure I heard him say London twice during that concert He was pointing to the upper deck by my section so most likely there was a group of fans with a sign or Union Jack flag.

It was ok even though he isn't relevent anymore. Sounds like a few other special performances they've had in the past; so they're par for the course.

Living Colour would have sufficed as a musical act. Nobody went to Wrestlemania to see Puff Daddy.

Well it definitely wasn't obtrusive.
Whatever the match was before it, I went and had a cigarette right when it ended. When I came back, Diddy was 2 minutes from being done. I'm not one of those people that takes 15 minutes with a smoke either.

Living Colour would have sufficed as a musical act. Nobody went to Wrestlemania to see Puff Daddy. No one would have gone to Mania to see Living Colour either. That's probably why they weren't promoted on WWE programming and only performed Punk down to the ring. That's enough live music at a wrestling event.

I thought it was worse than Kid Rock, which was terrible. It served no purpose. At least Living Colour was there because they played Punk's theme.

"Wrestlemania started here in New York in 95!"
A. You're in New Jersey B. 85 not 95
It was fine, i'm not a fan of his music, but it was inoffensive performance, that wasn't too long and was a much need break from matches and video packages.

The question is who could WWE had got that would please everyone? Because going by different reactions on this forum, no one would work.
And before you say no music acts at Wrestlemania, WWE wants to be like the Super Bowl. The Super Bowl has music acts for the halftime show.

Seeing the alternative was Kid Rock Style, yeah.

I still say the only reason he was there is because Jay-Z turned them down.

I was fine with it. Living Colour blew him out of the water, but it's whatever.
Frankly, there is no performer they could find that would be universally praised. It just isn't going to happen.

A. You're in New Jersey B. 85 not 95 A. It's as close to NY as they're going to get; hence the "I'm coming home." B. He said 85 C. The line was fed to him, so it's not like he had a choice if you had a problem with it.

Wrestlemania absolutely needs a musical act and celebrity star power. It's what adds to the atmosphere and sets it apart from every other show during the year. No matches were cut for it, no matches would have had additional time had it not happened.
I was there live, and it was great. Anybody saying "soooo 1997" or "he's irrelevant" is missing the point that he performed "Mo Money, Mo Problems," an absolutely iconic piece of both hip-hop and New York music's history. If you weren't feeling that, you have a hole in your soul. This wasn't some rapper du jour performing their big hit at the moment, this was arguably the last definitively monster definitively New York hip-hop crossover single.
Putting that at Wrestlemania further emphasized how entrenched and important the WWE's legacy is to the city itself, and vice versa.
Adding the pleaser "It's All About the Benjamins" and then closing with the theme song was perfect. He really only did three verses from three different songs, which is one song, and a much needed break between the matches so as the crowd didn't get burned out. Could it have perhaps worked better between Punk-Taker and Trips-Brock or Trips-Brock and Rock-Cena? Maybe.
But the Diddy performance is something the WWE handled perfectly last night.
As for the performance itself, I've seen Diddy perform live a few times (mostly at award shows, special guest appearances) and Wrestlemania is quite literally the only time he wasn't lip-syncing. I don't know if the WWE just wouldn't let him fake it, but Diddy blowing his voice out on songs that the arena knew the words too just added to the Mania of Wrestlemania.
Of course, Living Colour was better. But Diddy's performance is at least all-time top three Wrestlemania performances with Salt N Pepa and Living Colour.

"Wrestlemania started here in New York in 95!" Did he really say that? I left my living room and used Puffy's segment as a break to get pizza and use the restroom.

Gave me time to use the bathroom. Should have been Metallica performing instead.
