His popularity is at fever pitch, how do you think WWE should capitalize on it from a storyline and booking standpoint? Should they say "screw it, the people love 'em, turn face but keep the character the same"? Stay the course? How you would you book/write his character going forward?

Fandangomania? I thought they were all humming his theme song because it was ridiculous.

Keep him the same.
Make him a cocky heel that brags about his overness.

Honestly,it was a very unusual crowd this time around, not your regular one, wait a little before deciding, just don't turn him face or try to tune it down.
And heresy, Fandango theme is all kinds of awesome.

Book him exactly as they planned to, but release a T-Shirt to capitalize on the craze while it's hot. They should also find a way to encourage the crowd to keep the humming bit going, because crowds love interactivity.

Do nothing. These kind of things are best when they develop naturally. Have the WWE try and capitalize on it, and it'll be run into the ground within a few months.

He comes out for a promo and stands in the middle of the ring staring at the entrance way and he slowly turns his head towards the hard camera and says "That was my face turn", then leaves the ring. He slaps hands with fans as he goes up the ramp. Then the segment is never mentioned again.

Easy if it happens again, get Fandango on the mic to complain that the audience is mangling his music with their out of tune, talentless voices, that should guarantee that people keep doing it and it can be like the You Suck chant was for Angle.

Count me in the same boat. They'd be insane not to take advantage of what they have going on with Fandango right now. They just need to be subtle about it and let Johnny Curtis' silliness take precedent over what to do instead of their booking. So far, he's actually proven to be really capable of managing a character. Not many people could get Fandango to work, and even before when he was doing his awful pun promos or working as Dirty Curty, he didn't bat an eye at some of the stuff that he's had to do. His delivery is so deadpan and natural that even when he's in on the joke, he seems like he isn't. This is something the booking team needs to leave to him as a test. See what he can do with it. And if he makes something permanent out of it, he'll have passed the first "Future main eventer" test.

Just like Bryan "turned" on Yes chants. That made the dans only chant it louder.

Keep him off TV in places where he may get a good reaction, and when you finally do let him back on TV, put him in a situation which exposes his weakest side as a performer, making sure he's alongside people much better at it than he is then use him to get someone else over, preferably Sheamus as everyone loves seeing guys they popped for once getting smushed by him. This booking style made Ryder a big name, worked wonders for Cryme Time and will do the same for Fandango.

I think the NJ crowd reaction is definitely a one time thing, however I think it's garnered him more attention. I don't think he's going to be in the upper card any time soon, but I hope they use the attention boost to develop and orient the character into the fold.

There's a very good chance we'll hear it in London in a few weeks FWIW.
