When I was a Cinema Manager we used to get famous people in there all the time. Pretty much all of them were polite and just wanted to watch a film although I have to make mention of Sarah Ferguson who used to talk to all the staff and was very friendly, she even grabbed a broom off a Staff member when her kid dropped some popcorn on the floor and cleaned it up herself. But there was one "celebrity" who was a giant douchebag and that is Lenny Henry. He always had a "I'm famous, worship me" aura to him. One day me and and my Manager had to clean an auditorium that he had been sitting in and he left his Filofax/personal organizer behind. We picked it up and checked it (that was always the procedure when finding valuables as you could look for contact details and also so there were two people to verify the amount of any cash that might have been in there) and saw it was his (there were also the home numbers of various other celebs but we only saw the A page) and took it to the Manager's Office when we were done. He then returned about five minutes later and banged on the door and said that we should have his organizer as he left it behind. My boss went to get it and asked him to verify everything was in there, he just took it and walked out. We weren't expecting a reward or anything but he didn't even say "thank you". c***. Another time he was rude to the wrong Staff Member. This was right after he did some comedy stuff at the Queen's Silver Jubilee concert and went down like a fart in a spacesuit. He went up to the Retail stand and the Staff Member was down the other end of the counter and asked how he could help him. Lenny Henry then said something like "you can come down to this end and serve me". The Staff Member said "I'll serve you food there but my till is this one and I need you to come here to complete the transaction". LH decided that this was beneath him and kept saying how he wanted to be served at a specific till but the Staff Member said he couldn't use that till as it was another person's till and they were on a break. This carried on for a while until LH uttered the phrase that anyone who ever says is a complete c***, "don't you know who I am?". The Staff Member replied "yeah, didn't you used to be funny?". Lenny Henry stormed off as I congratulated the Staff on his owning skills.
Also, Chesney Hawkes was a cock womble but he's hardly even a "celebrity", so I won't waste any more typing on him.

Friends of mine (one of whom is a huge smartass), saw Gallagher at a county fair (admission was free). After the show, they were walking around the fairgrounds, when they spotted Gallagher sitting at a table by himself. So, my friends go over anc talk to him and eventually Gallagher asks them if they'd like an autograph. My friends say "sure", to which Gallagher replies "OK, it's ten bucks apiece". Which causes the huge smartass to laugh in his face. Gallagher got super pissed, stood up, pulled out a big wad of cash, fanned it out, and smacked him in the face with it, while yelling "You think I need your money! I have all kinds of money!". I have my doubts about the stories validity, but they both swear it happened. Funny. I have some friends who are local stand-up comics here in San Antonio, and they ran into Gallagher at a comedy club a couple weeks ago and ended up hanging out with him. They had nothing but good things to say about him. He even agreed to make a guest appearance on their monthly podcast. Maybe they caught him on a good night. I've never had any negative encounters with celebrities anyone here would have heard of, but I had a bad experience with a local radio personality. About ten years ago, I was substitute teaching at my old high school, and I got a call from a now-retired local radio talk show host. Apparently, he had scheduled a business transaction with the teacher for whom I was subbing, and after I told him that the teacher was out for the day, he wanted me to handle the transaction. When I explained that I had no authority to do that, and that he should either call the front office for assistance or call back the next day when the real teacher was back, he chewed my ear off and then hung up. I had been a fan of his show up until that point, but I never listened to it again after that. Ironically, a year later, I got my first real teaching gig, and his granddaughter was one of my students. She was one of the most obnoxious, spoiled students I've ever had. I guess the apple doesn't fall far from the tree.

Jesus DiG, that's like, a nuclear burn. I've heard he's a bit of a dick to the public in the past though.
Anyway, not my experience, but I was in a hotel last year eating breakfast when I realised I was sitting about a table away from Mark Addy A.K.A King Baratheon from Game of Thrones. I didn't say anything, because, ya know, dude's trying to enjoy his breakfast, but some asshat went up and started like, gushing at him about how big a fan he was etc, only to get the most face melting death glare I have ever seen in my life.
Made my day, fella just kinda, scuttled away after that.

I ended up with the clap after an alcohol induced night of sexual tomfoolery with Rue McClanahan a few years back. Though, in truth, I would still hesitate to consider this encounter "bad" in the strictest sense of the word.

Oh yeah, I almost forgot about the time I made the point on a comics forum that whenever Peter David takes over a series, he always ignores whatever the previous writer(s) established and does his own thing, often making drastic changes to the character - i.e. giving Aquaman a beard and a hook for a hand, and changing his personality into more of a Namor clone. He responded by saying that sales always increase when he makes such changes, and when later writers inevitably revert back to status quo, sales always decrease, which may well be true, but his tone was so snarky and condescending that I boycotted his work for several years after that.

Samantha Morton. While I didn't interact with her personally... I was an extra on a film she and long with other extras we spent 8 hours on a bus driving down to the set only to get told go home because she was being a diva and since she got the director fired filming was closed down.

Not really "bad" more "disappointing" but when I was in Seattle for No Way Out 2009 I ended up running into Mark Henry and Jerry Lawler (separately). Mark was awesome, a very polite man that seemed very genuinely interested in taking a few minutes to talk to me and my brother which was surprising because he was easily bigger than the both of us. I even got a laugh outta the big guy when I said that I was one of the eight that loved the Sexual Chocolate gimmick and we bonded over the amazingness of the theme. As great as that was, imagine how excited a fresh-faced 18 year old Hawk Jefferson was when he looked across the store he was in and saw the King himself in the flesh. I've talked about it at length here before but I grew up in the Memphis area so of course I have a healthy appreciation for Mr. Lawler...unfortunately despite his friendliness and willingness to talk to us, it seemed like anytime the topic of Mid-South or USWA was brought up he steered us right back to WWE talk. It was a really cool experience and I'll never say a bad word about Jerry Lawler the person but it's really deflating to meet a childhood hero and have them avoid the topics that gave them that status.

I volunteered to dance for the Internation Aids Conference that was lead by Bill Gates a few years ago, and met Alicia Keys, Richard Gere and a musician by the name Massari
Richard Gere was a complete douche and was muttering things that were rude when people approached him before it was his turn to speak
Well, I would be rather grumpy if my claim to fame was playing the role of a man who fell in love with a prostitute who was not even that prutty of a woman

I collect autographs and photos with as a hobby and have met 100s of celebrities over the years. I think the most recent, really bad experience was a few years ago with Kathy Griffin. I had heard good stories about her with fans but as we approached her she said basically that she couldn't believe that there were eBayers even in our city (we each had one thing to get signed) and told us to show her our tickets (this was at the hotel and not the venue so we didn't have our tickets on us) and she got upset and went inside the hotel and apparently told the front desk to call the police on us (they didn't)

What an ass she is.
