I wish Cena would go to a company like ROH or Chikara where they'd push him correctly.

He was hurt. Guess his employer doesn't care about his well-being.

Well that's not the kind of reaction I expected.

I wish Cena would go to a company like ROH or Chikara where they'd push him correctly. Or TNA, where he'd chase off the mega stable even when injured? It's funny, in a week the Shield has defeated Taker, Kane, Cena, and D-Bry, destroyed Taker and taken him out of action, and pinned Cena clean. Meanwhile, Aces & Eights got chased off by a barely mobile Hulk Hogan, and Sting.

To be fair, I think that's just cosmic balance being restored from the early Immortal days where they frequently defeated not only the entire roster, but also the show's time management.

Yet I still see some people around the internet death-riding The Shield, waiting for them to lose so they can call "burial" on the whole thing. They've been around for 5 months now. You know what The Nexus was doing 5 months in? Getting destroyed by a "fired" Cena one-by-one. At some point you just have to think... They've been pushed this strong for this long now, going over the biggest names in the company, with no real signs of it stopping yet. Maybe they really won't be buried in the end after all. Sorry, botched the quoting in this post first time around.

You really think changing how you run things every other year is a good idea?

Sorry, botched the quoting in this post first time around. It'll be hilarious if Shield's entire build leads to a Summer Slam main event where HHH, Orton and Batista finally beat them. I mean, it's a fine novelty match. But I still laugh at the potential of HHH pushing for them to be booked so strong just so his Verne Gagne ass can be the one that finally beats them.

With all the people that The Shield have already beaten, it'd rack up a lot of transitive property points, that's for sure.
Triple H: "The Shield beat Cena, Undertaker, Orton, Sheamus, etc and I beat The Shield. Therefore, I'm better than all those people too!" *happy dance*

I think they've done a good job of telling the story that The Shield is always better than these hodgepodge 3 man units due to better cohesion, though it's kind of becoming repetitive.

I think it's interesting that WWE has done so damned good with the Shield that them being one of the few to cleanly go over Cena in match (tag or not since he is 9/10 not the guy that takes the fall) isn't treated as a surprise or anything of that sort. There are more jokes about Cena losing or complaining about the jokes than anything. In 6 months they've made these 3 guys the most feared and dominate group in WWE since Evolution and I think those guys did pretty well for themselves.
