If this proves to be scientifically viable, I can't wait until the big pharmaceutical companies allow for the production and distribution of cheap, generic versions of this drug to many African countries that deal with the HIV/AIDS epidemic! |

I'll wait until it's actually proved to work to rejoice, but sounds like a good step forward. Hope it does pan out, although also have to wonder if we'll end up getting drug-resistant variants?

I swear, I've read this about 200 times before.
Granted, I know it isn't something that just happens overnight and steps must be made, but with this kind of thing, until the virus is contained the same way small pox is, I won't consider it a firm victory. Viruses evolve and there's many strands of HIV, so there's absolutely no way there could be an end all cure, because in the long run, we'll be looking at similar strands of different infections.
But again, always looking forward to them taking the next step to putting an end to this.

Like mizerable said, I have heard this all before and we are still without a cure. Solid treatments have worked in celebrity cases such as Tommy Morrison and Magic Johnson(I'm sure regular joes who can afford the same treatments have had similar results)
